Hero Arts | My Monthly Hero August 2023 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there and welcome as we celebrate the release of the Hero Arts August My Monthly Hero Kits and add-on products. The release this month is all about California and National Parks!

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

My first card today uses the Hero Arts August 2023 My Monthly Hero Premium Kit. I started off my card by stamping one the golden poppy images from the Premium Kit stamp set onto white cardstock using Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink. I then coloured it using Copic Markers (YR18, YR16, Y18, Y15, Y13, Y11/G29, YG17, YG23, YG01) before die cutting out with the coordinating dies.

I die cut two Hero Arts Nesting Hexagon Infinity Dies to create a frame piece. They were stacked up and adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with Hero Arts Precision Glue. The poppy image was adhered on top using foam tape.

I stamped a sentiment from the main kit stamp set onto Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock using Hero Arts Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and adhered onto the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Hero Hues Black Enamel Dots

In case you missed them, for my Countdown cards, I used the Hero Arts August 2023 My Monthly Hero Classic Kit. These dies are so cool. There are mountains as well but I fell in love with the trees! You can see more details about them HERE

My next card uses two of the new add-on sets. I started off by stamping Hero Arts Trail Map Bold Prints onto a panel of Hero Arts Kiwi Cardstock using Hero Arts Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. Using Ink Blending Brushes, I blended on Hero Arts Core Inks in Kiwi, Fresh Lawn and Pine

I removed any excess ink off of of the embossing powder using a dry cloth and then adhered the panel onto a US A2 sized white card base using foam tape. I stamped the Hero Arts Bear Hugs Stamp & Cut image on to white cardstock using Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink. I coloured the bears with Copic Markers (E49, E59, E57, E55, E53) and then die cut them out using the coordinating dies.

They were adhered to the card with foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiment onto black cardstock and cut into a strip. It was adhered to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Hero Hues Green Enamel Dots
