You're Awesome

Hello there, I am back today with a card to share for a crafty friend. She has two cats and is awesome so I thought this image was appropriate for her. She lives across the pond so I am not sure if she will have received it yet, if not I hope so soon! As soon as I saw the Mama Elephant Three Amigos set, I knew I wanted to make a card for her.

I started off by running a piece of white cardstock through my Cuttlebug using the Femme Frames set. I stamped the image and sentiment on it and coloured with Copic Markers. I added some white gel pen to his cheeks and black to his eyes and nose. I also added clear Wink of Stella to the sign/paper. I then took an A2 white card base, added some paper from the Lawn Fawn Let's Polka pad on top and then added the panel to it (I used fun foam for the dimension).

Planner Accessories: What I Use and How I Use Them

Hello there, last week I posted a mini planner haul on my You Tube channel. I was later asked what stamps I use in my planner so I thought I would make a quick video sharing what accessories and I use and how I use them.

I will be honest here ... my planner is not a pretty one but it is very functional for me. I love the look of pages that people decorate and nice colourful inserts but for my needs, I just use plain old Filofax inserts (plus a couple others for other uses, not weekly pages). These are black and white and not very interesting to look at but hey are functional. I use the Filofax Time Management inserts for my weekly calendar.

I use these because I do not always have set days I need to do things. Most of the set days are either work, university, blog posts/DT commitments or appointments. I do not need a big section for this since I usually just add a sticker to that day. Where I love having a big space though, is for to-dos/list making. I am a big list maker and these inserts provide me a large space to add my to-dos for the week and I can tick them off as I go.

I do use a few planner stamps . I do not stamp these directly on the page as the Filofax pages are very thin. I stamp them on stickers instead. The two I use are: Waffle Flower Planner: Stay Focussed - I use this often for stamping words like 'pay day', and Studio L2E Iconic - I love this for adding little icons to remember to do something, for example, take medication and water the plants.

Here is the video showing how I use them in my planner:

Thanks

Hello there, remember me? I am so sorry I haven't been around for over a week. There have been a few reasons as to why but I won't bore you with those! I am back today to share a card I have made using the Mod Arrow Border die from Simon Says Stamp. I thought it would be great as a male themed background for a thank you card.

I first took the die and ran it through my Cuttlebug, cutting various sheets of paper from the Create A Smile Feel Good Paper Pad. I love these colours together. I then went to work adding them to a panel of white cardstock, using the original die as a placement guide.

I then took the thanks sentiment from the SSS Thanks set and stamped this with black ink on to banner die from the Clearly Besotted Tag Along die collection. This was adhered with foam tape to the panel, the panel was then adhered to an A2 card base with more foam. I finished off by adding a few enamel dots.

Create A Smile | Feel Better Soon

Hello there, I am back with a card and video for Create A Smile. Today I am using the super cute Bad Day stamp set and the new Feel Good paper pad.

I started off by stamping the chick image on to a piece of white cardstock, which was cut using one of the Lil' Inker Stitched Rectangle dies, in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then coloured this with Copics and added a little Glossy Accents to the beak. The sentiment was stamped on a sheet of paper from the Feel Good collection and cut into a banner. This was layered up with more paper banners using foam tape.

I cut another two papers from the pad using the same rectangle die and adhered these to a white A2 card base. The image panel was then adhered on top with foam tape. To finish off, I added some MME enamel dots.

Less Is More | 4th Birthday

Hello there, today I have the absolute pleasure in representing Clearly Besotted Stamps Guest Designing for Less Is More. LIM is a great challenge with an amazing Design Team, including the lovely and super talented Sarah, who kindly asked me to take part. Today they are celebrating their 4th Birthday and have asked lots of regular sponsors to take part in their celebrations. The challenge this week is to use the colours pink and grey.

For my card today, I am of course, using Clearly Besotted products. I first took the Rounded Tag die and cut this with white cardstock. I then stamped the balloons from the It's Your Birthday set on to it using two shades of pink ink. The sentiment, from the new Wild Thing stamp set, was stamped in black and I have threaded some twine through the top.

I then took an A2 card base and added a strip of grey polka dot paper to the right side. I also added a panel of white to the left with foam tape. The tag has been adhered on top with more foam tape and the balloons embellished with clear Wink of Stella. I finished off the card by adding a few Doodlebug Sprinkles.
