STAMPtember | Autumn Blessings

Hello there, today I have a card to share using the beautiful Simon Says Stamp Autumn Blessings set designed by Clearly Besotted for STAMPtember. I first took a piece of white CS and stamped the leaf wreath image first using HA Field Greens ink. I then stamped the pine cones in HA Soft Brown ink and the berries in HA Red Royal ink. I added a little shading to these using Copic Markers.

I stamped the sentiment (from the same set) using Colorbox Dark Brown ink and then added a few SU mini pearls. The panel has been added to a card base, made from Bazzill Chocolate Malt CS, with foam tape.

SUPPLIES:

COPIC MARKERS: Pine Cones: E50, E55. Leaves: YG61, YG63. Berries: R37.

Thanks so much for visiting me today and bearing with me during my absence at the moment. I am still up to my eyeballs with university work but I do have another two cards already made to share with you and also the Clearly Besotted Teasers will be starting soon as well (2nd October). Hope you have a great weekend!

STAMPtember | Clearly Besotted Collaboration

Hello there, I wanted to pop on quickly to talk about the new STAMPtember Simon Says Stamp collaboration with Clearly Besotted Stamps. If you haven't already seen, SSS and CBS got together to create some stamp and die sets to celebrate Stamptember.

Two sets were released as part of the original release:

Christmas Characters (Individual stamp set called Winter Friends)

Wreaths (Individual stamp set called Autumn Blessings)

Yesterday they also released another stunning set called Holly Berries

These stamps are exclusive to SSS so they are only available to purchase from them but they are worth the extra postage, I have to say. Simon Says Stamp kindly sent them to me and they arrived today. I cannot wait to have a play but first I need to finished my university work. I do hope to have a play later in the week though.

Sending Hugs

Hello there, today I have a card to share that I made for a friend who I felt needed to be sent some hugs and smiles. I used Laura Bassen's technique of the die cut popped up window. I first stamped the Mama Elephant panda from the Pandamonium stamp set on to a panel of white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I took the die and cut it leaving the foot intact. I then cut a window out around it using my craft knife.

I coloured the little panda lightly using Copic Markers - a little C1 and blender for the tummy and face, along with a little R000 for the cheeks. I stamped the sentiment from the SSS Handwritten Sentiments set below. I then took a white card base (3.5x5") and inked where the window would show through, using TH Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Broken China. The panel was then popped on top using foam tape.

As the card was smaller than usual I made a little envelope using my WRMK Envelope Punch Board and some Papertrey Ink paper.

A little, simple card but I hope it made my friend smile a little. Thanks so much for visiting me today. Hope you have a great day!

STAMPtember | Zig Zag Dots

Hello there, today I have a card to share that uses the new Zig Zag Dot stencil from Simon Says Stamp. This stencil was kindly sent to me by SSS and I love it! It has so many uses but for my card today I decided to use it with embossing paste.

I simply took a card base that I made from SSS Fog CS and placed the stencil on to it and applied a thin layer of embossing paste. I added a little of the Fog ink to it to give it more of the same tone. I then took the SSS Small Hello die and cut this three times from SSS Cotton Candy CS. I layered these up adding clear WOS to the top layer. This was added to the card once dry and then I added a few DB Cupcake Sprinkles to finish.

SUPPLIES:

I apologise that I haven't been around for almost a week. There are two reasons for this: firstly, my mojo seems to have completely disappeared so if anyone finds it can you send it back to me please! Secondly, I started back at university on Monday after my summer break. My first essay is due in this Sunday so obviously that has to take priority. I really do appreciate you visiting me though and I will be back soon.
