LIM - Silhouettes

This is my entry for the current Less Is More challenge. When is a silhouette not a silhouette? I know mine isn't black but I would still class this a silhouette, what do you think? I have used the PTI Take Three: Winter Set and stamped the snowflake images with Memento Grape Jelly ink. I have then cut them out using the PTI Take Three die and added them to a white card blank with 3D adhesive squares. The sentiment from the PTI Signature Christmas set has been stamped below with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I have finished off the snowflakes with a little glitter and rhinestones.

STAMPS: Papertrey Ink. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black & Grape Jelly. CS: Papertrey Ink. TOOLS: Papertrey Ink Die. EMBELLISHMENTS: Stampin' Up! Rhinestones, Copic Spica At You Glitter Pen.

Sorry I haven't been around this week, I haven't been well. I saw my consultant yesterday and he is booking me in for another lumbar puncture. Not looking forward to it but hopefully I will have a pain free Chrsitmas; I have just found out I won't be working this year so I am so happy about that! My first Chrsitmas at home for three years.

Sketch N Stash 75

Welcome to another challenge at Sketch N Stash. This fortnight we have a great sketch designed by Kevin

I thought the sketch lended itself to a male card so that's what I did! I have used the boy from the Later Sk8ter set by The Greeting Farm (my old neglected stash) and coloured him with Copic Markers; I have then cut him out and added him to an oval cut using a Nestabilities dies with 3d foam. The oval has beren added to the base with my ATG. The base is various layers of paper from the Fancy Pants Like Father Like Son Kit mounted with Bazzill Kraft CS. I have added CWC Candy Chips {Card Candi} to the corner. The greeting is from the Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler set (my new stash).

STAMPS: The Greeting Farm, Paper Smooches. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black. COPICS: Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11; Hair: E23, E35, E27; Trousers: E42, E43, E44; Top: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99; Undertop: BG93, BG96; Shoes: N1, N3.

Please go and see my teamies cards, they are gorgeous and why not have a go at the sketch yourself? Remember to tell us which is your new or neglected stash. I would also like to welcome Jen, Sarah-Jane, Doreen & Andie to the team :0)

LIM - Leaves

This weeks challenge over at Less Is More this week is Leaves as well as being one layer week. Eagle eyed viewers may have seen a quick snippet that I made for this challenge and posted but I have since found a better stamp to use and have re-made my card {the other card will be re-posted tomorrow but not for LIM!}.

So for my card I have kept it really simple and simply stamped some holy leaves by Elzybells with SU! Wild Wasabi ink on to a white card blank. I have then stamped the greeting from the PTI Signature Christmas set with black and then added DB Ladybug Jewels for the holly berries.

STAMPS: Papertrey Ink, Elzybells Art Stamps. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin Up! Wild Wasabi. CS: Craftwork Cards. EMBELLISHMENTS: Doodlebug Designs Mini Jewels.

Here is a quick card I have made, just for fun, using the CC Designs Pretty Kitty set. I have had this set for years and I think this is the first time I have used it! I have cut the image out using a circle Nestabilities die and then mounted to a scallop circle cut from DB Beetle Black CS; this has been added to the base with my ATG. The base is a sheet of DB Cupcake Petite Prints paper mounted with more DB Beetle Black CS. This has then been wrapped with DB Cupcake Doodle Twine and a DB Boutique Button applied. This has all been adhered to a white card blank with 3D adhesive squares. DB Jewels added to finish.

STAMPS: CC Designs. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black. COPICS: N0, N1, N2, N3, RV02, RV00, Spica 00 Clear, Spica 14 Blossom. CS: Papertrey Ink, Doodlebug Designs. TOOLS: Nestabilities. EMBELLISHMENTS: Doodlebug Designs Doodle Twine, Doodlebug Designs Boutique Button, Doodlebug Designs Mini Jewels.

And here is a video on how I made the card, if you wanted to have a look. Apologies that my hand was covering the image when I coloured it, especially the first part, if I do another one then I will shoot it from the other side. Please let me know what you think of the video if you watch it.

Thanks for visiting me today, I can't belive how fast this year has gone. I really must get a move on with my Chrsitmas cards, I have made a little order from Stampin Up! via the lovely Jules so hopefully I will be able to make some soon!
