Papercraft Inspirations Magazine

Hi all, a couple of months ago the lovely Deputy Editor of Papercraft Inspirations magazine asked if one of my cards could be featured in the Beautiful Blogs section. I of course said yes and have just got my hands on a copy. I am so happy and honoured to be featured on the same pages as such talented designers and bloggers.

Here is my card on the page:

You can see my blog post for the card HERE

Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it. Hope you all have a great weekend

Filming Videos from an iPad

Following my Doodlebug haul video I had a couple of questions asked about how I filmed it. How I did it was I stood my iPad up using the Apple iPad Smart Cover. This is great, I love it! It folds up so you can have your iPad just propped up to type etc but can have it almost completely propped up at a right angle too. This is great for watching videos and also great to film videos! You can shoot from the camera at the back and watch what you see on the screen at the same time.

Hope this helps! Have a great day!

Doodlebug Designs Haul

Hi all, I have found out how to film videos from my iPad and upload them to You Tube - yes I know I am slow but I have always done this on my PC so I have ever never had the need before! Anyway, since I can't show you a card I have a video of a Doodlebug Designs haul to show you. If you have been following my blog for a while you will know that Doodlebug were one of my first loves in the card making world and they still have a big portion of my heart! When The Glitter Pot got the new collections in I had to get them so here they are for you to see:

Thanks for watching and visiting me today, I hope to be back properly soon,

Papertrey Ink February Haul

Hi all, so still no computer for me sadly. My brother has taken it away to fix but it may be another week or so before I get it back :o( I have been making some cards but I am not prepared to add the pics to my blog without a watermark (they are all on my PC) with all the stealing of photos/work that has been going on lately so instead I have a PTI order to show you that just came today.

I can't do a video as I have no idea how I upload that to my iPad but I have a picture instead! This was a very impromptu order, I had no plan whatsoever to order in February but as soon as I saw the Maile Belles Beautiful Butterflies set I couldn't resist. They also had 5% off for the anniversary and I could use my reward points that I had been building up; So what's a girl to do hey?!

I got the new patterned paper packs in Raspberry Fizz and Aqua Mist, vellum cardstock, the new ink cubes, three stamps sets in their new packaging (which I think looks fab) - Beautiful Butterflies, Sweet Spring and the Anniversary set Pretty Peonies, two mini stamp sets - Framed Out and Think Big Favourites #13 and three sets of dies - Framed Out to match the stamp set, the Beautiful Butterflies dies to match the stamps and the Limitless Layers Ovals.

Thank you for visiting me today, I am hoping I will be back soon. Hope you are all well.

Broken Computer

Hi all,

I just wanted to pop on here to say I probably won't be around for a little while, my PC is well and truly broken and it looks like it is going to take longer to fix than I first hoped. I will still be making cards but they will be a little late on getting on here.

I hope you are all well?

For All That You Do - DTDF

Hello there, here is a card I have made using the My Minds Eye Miss Caroline 6x6 Fiddlesticks Collection. I have tried to make this paper the focal point instead of an image. I have taken the gorgeous damasky type design and cut it into a circle using a Nestabilities die and then added this to a white card blank. I have cut the edge off with scissors and then added a strip of white cardstock which has been cut using {my favourite} MFT Die-Namics Solid Bracket Border die over the top. The greeting from the MFT Die-Namics Framed Greetings Die & Stamp Set has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to another sheet from the MME Fiddlesticks Pad. Two of the edges have been rounded using the WRMK 1/8" Corner Chomper and then been adhered to the base with 3D adhesive squares. I have cut the small butterfly from the MFT Die-Namics Notched Tag Die & Stamp Set from PTI Linen Vellum Cardtsock and added MME Lush Rhinestones in the centres.

STAMPS: My Favourite Things. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. CS: Craftwork Cards, My Minds Eye, Papertrey Ink. TOOLS: Nestabilities dies, My Favourite Things Die-Namics, We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. EMBELLISHMENTS: My Minds Eye Rhinestones.

Sorry I haven't been around this week, I haven't been feeling well. I am hoping I feel better soon though as I am travelling up to Worcestershire at the weekend as it is my friends daughter's Christening. Have a  good day!

Happiest Of Birthdays

Hi there, first of all I would like to thank all those that ordered from my eBay yesterday. I sold over 20 items in just a few hours so if you read my blog, thank you so much!

Anyway, here is a card I have made inspired by the lovely and very talented Steph. I have first taken strips of PTI CS in Lavender Moon, Plum Pudding and Royal Velvet. I have rounded the corners and wrapped around with PTI Plum Pudding Satin Ribbon. This has been added to the card base with my ATG. I have then atekn some white CS and stamped the greeting from the PTI Celebrations Set in PTI Plum Pudding and Memento Tuxedo Black. I have added this layer to the base with 3D adhesive squares. I have punched two little butterflies using the MS 3 in 1 Butterfly punch and added rhinestones to their centres.

STAMPS: Papertrey Ink. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black, Papertrey Ink Plum Pudding. CS: Papertrey Ink. TOOLS: We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper, Martha Stewart Punch. EMBELLISHMENTS: Stampin' Up! Rhinestones.

Apologies for the photos, I couldn't get a decent one no matter what I tried. Thanks for visiting me today, I have been enjoying a couple of days off before I go back to work at the weekend. Happy Friday everyone!
