Birthday Lego

Hello there, today I have a card to share that I made for my nephew for his birthday. He absolutely loves Lego so it made sense for me to try and make him a Lego themed card.

I started cutting some squares and rectangles from Doodlebug cardstock (sadly this seems to have been discontinued now). I also then die cut multiple circles using one of the smaller dies from the Hero Arts Circle Nesting die set. I added Distress Ink around the edges of the shapes and then glued them together to look like Lego blocks. These were added to a 5.5"x5.5" card base.

I then took the six from the PTI By The Numbers die set and cut this three times from white cardstock and layered them up. I also die cut a star from vellum using a Nestabilities die. I added the six on to the star and then added the piece to the card base. To finish off, I added a few Doodlebug Matte Sprinkles.

This was such a fun card to make although I wish I had more than one of those circle dies ;) Thanks so much for visiting me today. I hope you have a great day!

VIDEO | Snowy Scene with Sunny Studio

Hello there, today I have the absolute pleasure of Guest Designing for Sunny Studio. I am using the most cutest Christmas sets for my projects today. I love them! I started off by using the adorable Gleeful Reindeer stamp set and dies for my card.

I started off by stamping the reindeer, along with the presents and colouring them with my Copic markers. These were then cut out using the matching dies. I took a panel of white cardstock and laid over a mask made from cutting a circle into a piece of mask paper. I then added a second mask for the snow bank. I took Distress Ink in Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves and Black Soot and blended these into the circle piece.

After I removed the mask, I stamped the sentiment below using black ink. I then added a few dots with a white Gelly Roll pen to look like snow. The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base and then I added the reindeer and presents on top. To finish off, I added Stickles to their noses and clear Wink of Stella to the presents.

COPIC MARKERS - Reindeer: E49, E59, E57, E55, E53, E50, R12. Scarf, noses and collar: R89, R37, R29. Presents: R89, R37, R29, R24, R14, YG67, YG17, YG23.

Next up, I wanted to make some tags for Christmas. I used the adorable Christmas Icons stamp set which is filled with not only wonderful icon images, but also lots of great messages to use with tags and all things Christmas.

I started off by making the top of the tags with the Crescent Tag Topper Dies. These are great as it only cuts the top of the tag so you can customise them however you wish. I cut the tops with red cardstock and then made the bottoms with white cardstock. The bottoms are just rectangles of cardstock with the bottom corners rounded with a corner chomper. I added a band of acetate to the middle for something a little different.

I stamped the sentiment on to the white pieces with black ink and then added little stars on to the red pieces with red ink. I stamped the reindeer, snowman and Santa with black ink and then coloured them with Copics. I then fussy cut them out and added them to the tags with foam tape. I added Star Dust Stickles to Santa's hat and then Christmas Red Stickles to the reindeer's nose. To finish off, I added some twine and mini pegs to the top of the tags.
