Howdy Cactus

Hello there, today I have a card to share using the fabulous Stamp Your Own Cactus stamp set from Hero Arts. I love that you can mix and match the different cactus with the different pots. I decided to use the solid image cactus for my card today as I thought it looked like he was waving! So cute!

To start my card, I stamped the cactus body in Green Hills and Field Greens Shadow inks. I used the Mini MISTI and first stamped the lighter colour, then I added the darker colour directing most of the ink to the bottom of the image, I dabbed the edge off with a cloth to get a smoother blend. I then stamped the lighter colour again. I did the same with the plant pot using Soft Brown and Cup O' Joe Shadow Inks. These were then fussy cut out with scissors.

I took a piece of white cardstock and embossed one of the circles from the Nesting Circle Infinity Die Collection on to it. I then stamped the sentiment to one side. The white panel was adhered to a 4.75" square kraft card base with tape runner and then I added the cactus and pot on top with foam tape. To finish off, I added Glossy Accents to the pot (it is still drying in the photos) and then a few Doodlebug Sprinkles around the image. Since the cactus is waving, he of course had to have some googly eyes so he could see who he is waving at!

One Happy Couple

Hello there, today I have my last card to share as part of guesting for Sweet Stamp Shop. Today I am using the adorable Hedgehog Kiss stamp set. It is so sweet!

I started off by die cutting a piece of watercolour cardstock and a piece of mask paper using the largest of the dies from the WPlus9 Gift Card Layers Die set. I then cut a heart from the mask piece to create an aperture. The mask piece was added on top of the watercolour cardstock piece and then I blended over shades of red and pink Distress Ink on the heart. I spritzed this with water to give some added detail.

I took the hedgehogs from the set and stamped these with black ink. I added the top hat and bow to them using masking. They were coloured using Copic Markers and  then fussy cut out. I added the heart piece to a white A2 card base with ATG and then the hedgehogs to the heart with foam tape. The sentiment, from the Just the Basics set was stamped and cut out and added with more foam tape. To finish, I added a few sequins and heart confetti.

Anniversary Love

Hello there, today I am back to share a card made using the fun T-Rex Hugs stamp set from Sweet Stamp Shop. This set is great for so many different occasions but today, I went with a fun anniversary design.

I started off by cutting a panel of white cardstock using the ME Femme Frames rectangle die. I then stamped the T-Rex's and the hearts from the set. The sentiment is from the Just The Basics set. The images were coloured using Copic Markers (colours used listed below the supplies section).

I took a white A2 card base and adhered a sheet of paper from the Doodlebug Kitten Smitten collection to the front. The image panel was then adhered on top with foam sheet and Scor Tape. To finish off, I added Glossy Accents to the hearts.

I Love You

Hello there, today I have a card to share using the Heart Vine stamp from Hero Arts, along with the Hello Stamp & Cut set. This is another wood mounted stamp. As much as I love clear stamps, there is something so nice about using a wood mounted stamp.

I started off by taking a sheet of white cardstock and cutting this using one of the Rectangle Infinity Dies. I then inked up the Heart Vine stamp using Pool to Navy Ombre Ink and stamped this at the top of the panel. The sentiment, from the Hello Stamp & Cut set was stamped with black ink on to more white cardstock and cut out.

I took a piece of cardstock from the Pool Layering Papers Mix and added this to the front of a white card base. I then took the ink from the same Ombre Ink pad and blended this over the sides. I wanted to give a bit more depth to the cardstock and I think this worked really well. The white panel was added to the card base with foam sheet and DST. I then added the sentiment piece with foam tape. To finish off, I added gem stones around the sentiment piece.
