Simon Says Stamp | STAMPtember 2025

Hello there and happy STAMPtember to you! If you haven't heard of STAMPtember before, it's a month long event hosted by Simon Says Stamp that features lots of fun, new products, inspiration and collaborations. Today is the main STAMPtember release for the Simon exclusive products. Tomorrow we are celebrating with a fun party and then after that, the collaborations start with all your favourite craft companies!

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

My first card today uses the new Simon Says Stamp Fall Wreath Die. This set features two semi circle leaf designs that you can put together to create a wreath. I die cut both parts from Spellbinders Brushed Black Cardstock. Using a Blending Tool, I pounced Tim Holtz Distress Oxides in Wilted Violet and Dried Marigold on top.

I then took them to my splat box and spritzed Tim Holtz Wilted Violet and Spiced Marmalade Distress Spritz on top. I felt like I lost a little of the black, so I added Hero Arts Black Acrylic Speckle on top. Whilst it was drying, I die cut my sentiment. I used the new Simon Says Stamp Trick or Treat 2 Die. I die cut it five times from Tim Holtz Distress Black Heavystock and adhered them one on top of another.

I created a US A2 sized card base from the same heavystock cardstock and adhered the wreath pieces on top using black thin foam squares. The sentiment was adhered in the centre. To finish, I added Simon Says Stamp Sea Star Sequins

My next card uses the new Simon Says Stamp Pumpkin Blessings. There is a stamp set, as well as a stencil set to colour/ink blend the main image in the set. I started off by stamping the image onto white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then stamped the sentiments (there are lots of different options) onto the banners.

I coloured the pumpkins and sunflowers using Copic Markers. I then grabbed the Simon Says Stamp Pumpkin Blessings Stencils and used these to colour/ink blend the banners. I started off with a layer of Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and then to add a little more depth, went in with Ground Espresso Distress Ink. The image was then fussy cut out using scissors.

I die cut the second largest die in the new Simon Says Stamp A2 Postage Rectangles Dies from Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock. I then created a mini card to adhere behind. I adhered the stamped image to the front using thin foam squares. I added a few white gel pen dots and then embellished with Altenew White Enamel Dots

Simon Says Stamp | I Dig You!

Hello there, today I have a clean and simple card to share with you using the Rooting for You set that was kindly sent to me to use as part of Simon Says Stamp's Happy Camper release. This is such a fun set perfect for gardening enthusiasts!

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my card by stamping the ground from the Simon Says Stamp Rooting for You Stamp Set onto a panel of white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then stamped the cat with the wheelbarrow image from the set onto a separate panel of white cardstock using the same ink.

Both were coloured using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supply area). I fussy cut out the cat and wheelbarrow using scissors, but there are dies available if fussy cutting is not your thing!

I stamped the sentiment from the set onto the panel using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. The panel was then adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with tape runner adhesive. The cat and wheelbarrow were adhered on top using thin foam squares.

I really like how these images work well for clean and simple cards, although you don't have to use them for that, there are lots of characters in the set, so you could definitely make a big scene with them too! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hero Arts | Summer Bouquet

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Hero Arts today to celebrate the release of the July 2025 collections with a fun and inspirational Instagram Hop. My card today uses the Summer Bouquet set from the Seaside Blooms collection.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off by stamping the main image from the Hero Arts Summer Bouquet Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Hero Arts Intensified Black Ink twice. I stamped it twice so that I could cut out the arms and bouquet to layer them on top of the body, but you do not have to do this as there is a die that cuts it out as one layer too.

I coloured the images using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area for reference) and then I die cut one out as a whole and the other with just the arms and bouquet. I cut this die from white cardstock another two times as well. The bottom layer was adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with thin foam tape.

I then adhered the white die cuts for the arms and bouquet behind the stamped one and then adhered it on top of the first layer. I then stamped the 'thanks a bunch' sentiment from the set onto white cardstock using Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink. It was die cut out and adhered to the card with another two die cut layers behind.

Simon Says Stamp | Ahoy Matey!

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Simon Says Stamp today to celebrate the Friend Like You release with a fun Instagram hop. I already made one card using the release which you can see here. Today I am using the super cute Ahoy, Matey set designed by the amazing Alberto Gava

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my card by die cutting a circle of cardstock using a Spellbinders Everlasting Circles Etched Dies. I then stamped the pirate girl and boat (one image) from the Simon Says Stamp Ahoy, Matey Stamp Set onto the circle using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I coloured the image using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies list).

It is always a bit intimidating colouring one of Alberto's images with him being the king of colouring, but I tried my best! I then die cut two more circles of white cardstock and on one, I cut a little off the bottom so that the card could stand up easily. At the top, I scored a line using a scoring board a stylus to create a hinge. I added adhesive to the hinge and adhered it to the other circle to create a card base. I then adhered the image circle on top (to hide the colouring bleed-through on the back).

I stamped the sentiment from the set onto black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip using the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Labels Dies and adhered onto the card with thin foam squares. I felt that the card was lacking, so I stamped the macaw from the set and coloured him using Copic Markers. I fussy cut him out using scissors and adhered him onto the card so that he was sitting on top of the sail.

Would it have looked better if I had stamped and masked the macaw instead of making him a separate layer? Maybe! But I am glad that I added him on, he is super cute! All the fun for the hop is happening over on Instagram. You can see my feed here and Simon Says Stamp's here. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have wonderful day!

Simon Says Stamp | Birthday Dragons

Hello there, today I have three tags to share with you using the new Simon Says Stamp Birthday Dragons Stamp Set from the Moments in Time release which is out now. I paired the set with the new Swiss Dots Stamp Set to create birthday tags.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my tags by stamping three of the dragons from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Dragons Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

I coloured them using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area) and then fussy cut them out using scissors, however, there are dies available if you are not keen on fussy cutting!

I die cut one of the tags from the Hero Arts Tag Infinity Dies Set three times from white cardstock. I then cut them down so that they were slightly less tall. I took the dotty background from the Simon Says Stamp Swiss Dots Stamp Set and stamped it onto a panel of white cardstock using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink

Once it was dry, I die cut the bottom of the tag from the panel three times. These pieces were then adhered to the bottom of the white die cut tags using liquid glue.

I took the 'happy birthday' sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Stamp Set and stamped the 'happy' first (masking off the 'birthday' with Post-It tape) onto the tags using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink

I cleaned my stamp thoroughly and then stamped the 'birthday' underneath (masking off the 'happy'). I cut strips of black cardstock and adhered them at the top of the dotted pieces, cutting the excess off from the sides with scissors.

The dragons were adhered on top with foam tape. I die cut the hole reinforcers for the tags from black cardstock and adhered them around the holes with liquid glue. To finish, I threaded twine through and tied in bows at the front.

Hello there, I am over on the Hero Arts Blog today sharing a card using the new Miss Detective Stamp & Cut Set that is part of the new Case Closed Collection. You can see my first card using this collection here

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

My card uses the Hero Arts Miss Detective Stamp & Cut Set, that I stamped and coloured using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supply section for reference) before die cutting out.

I created a quick and easy background using the Hero Arts Collage Backgrounds Hero Transfers and the sentiment is from the Hero Arts It's No Mystery Stamp & Cut Set

Spellbinders | Blow Out the Candles!

Hello there, today I have a card to share using the House Mouse Top Notch Birthday Stamp Set. It is quite rare that I make a completely one layer card but for today, it just seemed to make sense to do so!

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off by stamping the Spellbinders House Mouse Top Notch Birthday Stamp Set (both the image and the sentiment) onto a panel of white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

I coloured the image using Copic Markers. The colours that I used are listed below the supplies list for reference. The panel was then simply adhered onto a 4" x 5.5" white card base with tape runner adhesive.

It is quite rare that I do not add anything extra to a card but I wanted the image to shine and it seemed to suit a more CAS design. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Simon Says Stamp Rain or Shine Release Blog Hop Day 1 + Giveaway

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Simon Says Stamp today to celebrate the Rain or Shine release with a fun blog hop (there is more inspiration being shared tomorrow too!).

They kindly sent me the Farm Life set to play with. I thought it would be perfect to use with masking. I used to make scenes with masking all of the time and then stopped. I remember why I stopped now, it takes ages, but the results are worth the effort I think!

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

For my first project, I went all out and stamped almost all of the animals from the Simon Says Stamp Farm Life Stamp Set onto Altenew Masking Paper. I then fussy cut them out with scissors and created a masking map on scrap paper to see what layout I wanted to use for the images. I then cut my cardstock to size (6" x 3.5").

I placed the masking map inside my Mini MISTI and placed the first image I wanted to stamp (the image that will be the most forward/on top of the others on the card) on top of the image on the map. I closed the MISTI door and then removed the map from the MISTI and brought in the cardstock. I inked up the stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and stamped it onto the cardstock. I removed the mask from the map and placed it on the stamped image.

I repeated the process multiple times until I stamped all of the animals and the girl. Using a Large Blending Brush, I blended Tim Holtz Peacock Feather Distress Ink around the images. The masks were removed and the images coloured with Copic Markers and Polychromos Pencils (for a little added shading). The colours that I used are listed below the supplies list for reference. I also added Copic Marker dots in the background for added interest.

The sentiment, from the Simon Says Stamp Farm Life Stamp Set, was stamped in the top right hand corner using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. Once the ink was dry, the panel was adhered to a 6" x 3.5" white card base with tape runner adhesive. To finish, I added white gel pen dots in the background.

For my second project, I wanted to create a tag. I first die cut the largest of the Hero Arts Tag Infinity Dies from white cardstock. I then cut the length of it down slightly to fit the design. I stamped the girl sitting from the Simon Says Stamp Farm Life Stamp Set on top using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

I stamped her onto masking paper and fussy cut her out. The mask was placed over the stamped image and then I masked off the bottom part of the tag (below where she is sitting) and added ink blending above for the sky. I used Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers Distress Ink again and a Large Blending Brush

I removed the mask from the bottom half of the tag but kept the mask of the girl in place. I then hand drew in the wall using Copic Markers. I removed the mask from the girl and coloured her using Copic Markers (with a little pencil for shading), adding Copic Marker and white gel pen dots to the background.

I stamped a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Farm Life Stamp Set onto black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut into strips and adhered to the card with thin foam squares. I cut the eyelet for the tag from black cardstock and adhered that on top. To finish, I added twine through the top of the tag and tied in a bow.

Mr Frostie

Hello there, if you have followed what I do here for a while, you will know that I am not keen on mass-producing cards. I think it is a great idea but it is just not something that I particularly like doing. Having said that, I do find it very helpful at Christmas time when I want to send a lot of cards out and don't have the time to make everyone an individual one (although I wish I did!). Here is the card that I made a few of this year:

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my stamping the smaller of the two snowmen from the Tim Holtz Mr Frostie Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. They were coloured using Copic Markers and then fussy cut it out using scissors.

I created mini 3.5" x 3.5" card bases from white cardstock and then stamped the sentiment from the Mama Elephant Little Santa Agenda Stamp Set on top. Once dry, I added ink blending on the right hand side using Altenew Sweet Dream Fresh Dye Inks (Dew Drops & Aqualicious).

I splattered the cards using Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White Paint (mixed with a little water), as well as Tsukineko Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz and set them aside to dry. Once dry, the snowmen were adhered on top using thin foam tape.

Sadly, you can't see the shimmer in the photos, but in real-life, it really does add something to the cards! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful day and a great weekend!

Hero Arts | Varying Butterfly Wings

Hello there, I am over on the Hero Arts Blog today, sharing a card using the new Varying Butterfly Wings Fancy Dies. These dies are so beautiful and the great thing is, there are three wings, so you can mix and match the different ones depending on what design you are going for.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my card by placing the Hero Arts Varying Butterfly Wings Fancy Dies onto a panel of Hero Arts Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock. Each of the wings are separate, as is the body. They were held down with low-tack tape and ran through my Platinum Six

These dies are really cool as they do not cut like a traditional die but cut more like perforation lines, so that some pieces lift up and others do not. I coloured the body and wings using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed for reference below the supplies area).

The panel was adhered to a US A2 sized card base made from Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock with foam tape. The sentiment, from the Hero Arts Floral Rainbow & Clouds Stamp Set, was stamped and heat embossed on Pitch Black Cardstock, cut into a strip and adhered to the card with foam tape. To finish, I embellished with Spellbinders Silver Mix Color Essentials Gems
