LIM - Shaped Card

I have made this little card for the current challenge over at Less Is More which is 'Not Square - A Shaped Card'. I have gone for the easy option I guess and gone with a circle card. I have first made the base by cutting two of the Big Scallop Nestabilities dies from PTI Aqua Mist CS. I have adhered just the top part of the back panel to the front and scored a line for the card to easy open. I have then cut a white PTI SS CS panel using a Nestabilities Circle die. I have then used my new PTI Trendy Tree Tops stamp set. I have stmaped the tree top with PTI Aqua Mist ink and then the tree trunk with PTI Kraft ink - I have stamped it twice to intensfy the colour a bit. I have stamped the greeting (from the same set) with VersaFine Onyx Black ink to the side. I have finised off with a little butterfly cut from the MS 3 in 1 Butterfly Punch and added this to the tree and then tiny rhinestones to the branches. The circle has been added to the base with 3D adhesive squares.

Happy Birthday Dad

Hi all, I came across THIS gorgous card on Pinterest by Debby Hughes and I thought it would be great for a male birthday. I have made this card for my dad. I first took some PTI Rustic White CS and made this into the base. I have then taken a layer of PTI Soft Stone CS and added this on top with 3D adhesive squares. I have then cut MME Miss Caroline Dilly Dally, Basic Grey Basics Kraft and Basics White papers using the PTI Double Ended Banner die and added these to the layer. I have cut more PTI Rustic White CS using the PTI Happy Day Die and added this on top with more 3D adhesive squares. I have stamped this using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink with the sentiments from the Waltzingmouse Fre Spirit Sentiment set. I have finished off my adding buttons from my stash with SU! Linen Thread.

Die-ing For A Challenge - Anything Goes

Hi all, I am a day late with my DT card for DTDF this week but today we have a new challenge for you. The challenges have moved to the DTDF Blog to make it easier having everything on the one place. This month's challenge is 'anything goes' but remember you must use dies somewhere on your card. For my card I have taken some Echo Park Springtime paper and created the base using two of the sheets. I have die cut an MFT Die-Namic Small Scallop Border with Bazzill Kraft CS and added this behind the top layer. I have tehn taken some white CS and cut a circle using the MFT Die-Namics Circle Stax 1 Collection and mounted this with a Nestabilities Big Scallop Circle cut from more Kraft CS. These have been added to the base with 3D foam pads. I have then taken a CC Designs Butterflies Wings stamp and stamped this with Memento Angel Pink ink and then die cut with the corresponding die. I have added this to the circles with a Glue Dot and added MME Lush Rhinestones to the centre. I have then taken one of the sentiments from the CC EDesigns My R Many Thanks sentiment set, stamped this on white CS and cut out using a MFT Die-Namics Fishtail Flags Stax die. This has been added below the butterfly with my ATG.

Framed Out

As soon as I saw this Framed Out set by PTI I thought it would be great for male cards. Both cards have been inspired by ones I came accross on Pinterest. The first being THIS one by Lisa Johnson and the second being THIS one by Rema Timm. The first is super simple, I have first stamped the frame direct to the card base with PTI Enchanted Eveing ink followed by the sentiment in the centre with VersaFine Onyx Black. I have then then stamped the border using PTI Spring Rain ink on to a seperate piece of CS and then die cut this using the corresponding frame die. This has been added to the base with 3D foam. I have then added the stars, one being popped up too. For the second card I have stamped the greeting first and then the frames around it in the various inks. I have then cut the big frame using PTI Spring Rain CS and popped this up on 3D foam pads. I have then wrapped around with DB Doodle Twine in Bubble Blue. The panel has been added to a white card base with more 3D foam.

I have then taken the darker pink sheet from the same collection and cut this into a strip. I have stamped the greeting from the Paper Smooches Word Salad set on to the bottom and then tied around with Divine Twine in Cotton Candy. I have adhered this strip to the base with 3D adhesive squares. I have die cut a little heart using one of the inside pieces from a die from the PTI Love Lives Here set and added this below the sentiment. I have finished the card off with Doodlebug Jewels.

Sketch N Stash 87

Hi all, I am back with another challenge over at Sketch N Stash. This fortnight we have a great sketch designed by the talented Andie. I have to be honest and say that I struggled with my card, I don't really like the finished result but it was the best I could come up with.

I have made the base by layering up various sheets of Doodlebug CS with sheets from the DB Hello Spring Collection {new-ish stash}. I have then wrapped around with PTI Fresh Snow Satin Ribbon. I have die cut a sqaure using a Nestabilities die and added this with 3D foam pads. I have then stamped the butterflies from the PTI Butterfly Dreams {old stash} set on to white and the large one cut out with the corresponding die and the little one cut with scissors. These have been adorned with Rhinestones and added to the square with more 3D foam pads. The PB sentiment has been stamped and then cut out using the SU! Modern Label Punch.

Mess, Mess and More Mess!

Looks like I know what I will be doing today ...

I really do not know why I don't just clean up after each card, it would make it so much easier than having to tidy up my entire craft room! So what about you guys? Do you tidy up after one card or leave it till the end like me?

I will be back later with another card and also be back on Monday with some blog candy to celebrate my birthday at the end of the month :0)

I have stamped the butterflies using the PTI Modern Basics set on to a sheet from the Echo Park Hello Summer Collection and cut out with scissors. These have been added with dimensionals. To finish off I have added pearls from Doodlebug and The Hobby House.
