Spellbinders | Glimmer for the Holidays

Hello there, I have another Christmas card to share with you today. I know, it is still early for me too, but I am hoping that by the time I need to send them out I will have a nice stash of them! Spellbinders are releasing lots of new collections today, one of them is the Glimmer for the Holidays collection, which is what I am using today.

I started off by taking a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Solar White Cardstock. I placed a piece of Spellbinders Champagne Hot Foil on top (pretty side up), followed by the Spellbinders Full Bloom Poinsettia Hot Foil Plate (face down). I secured them to the cardstock using Spellbinders Best Ever Craft Tape and placed the sandwich I created foil plate side down on to my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System

Once the plate was heated, I ran it through my Spellbinders Platinum Six and then removed the plate. I did the same thing for the sentiment from the Spellbinders Comfort & Joy Sentiments Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. These sentiments come with six sentiments on a plate, so that you can foil them together and then die cut them out in one go.

I die cut the poinsettia panel using a Spellbinders Essentials Arches Etched Die and then added ink blending to it with Altenew Blue Mountains Fresh Dye Ink and an Altenew Large Blending Tool. I added the lightest colour at the top and then went down the panel to the darkest at the bottom to create an ombre look. It was then adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with thin foam tape. The sentiment was adhered on top and to finish, I added a few Spellbinders Gold Smooth Discs Color Essentials Sequins

There is a stencil set that works with the foil plate too but I thought it would look nice in just one colour. I think this card would be fairly easy to mass-produce too. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful day!

  1. This is lovely, the poinsettia looks perfect with the arch shaped panel. I love the beautiful blue ink blending too, so pretty xx
