Altenew | August 2023 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today for a fun blog hop to celebrate the August 2023 release. There is lots of lovely products in the release - stamps, dies, stencils, embossing folders and more. Today I am using the beautiful Exotic Plumerias set.

I started off my card by stamping the floral image from the Altenew Exotic Plumerias Stamp Set on to white cardstock using Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. I then did a search for what colours plumerias come in. I was delighted to see a blue/yellow combo, so that is what I used for for my card today. 

I placed the Altenew Exotic Plumerias Simple Coloring Stencils on top of the image and one by one, added colour using Altenew Mini Ink Blending Brushes. I used Golden Sunset Fresh Dye Inks (Sunray and Chamomile) and Blue Mountains Fresh Dye Inks (Alpine Aster and Crystal Violet) for the flowers. I then used Green Fields Fresh Dye Inks (Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen) for the leaves. 

I took a US A2 sized white card base and splattered Altenew Jet Black Ink Spray on top. Once dry, I die cut the flower image using the Altenew Exotic Plumerias Die Set and adhered it on top using Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I stamped the sentiment from the set on to black cardstock using Altenew Embossing Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and adhered with more foam tape.
