Hero Arts | Hero Studio June 2024 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there and welcome as we celebrate the new Hero Studio subscription program (formerly called My Monthly Hero). There are now six new options for kits and I will share more details on them below.

This month,  we are bringing the boldness of urban textures in the signature Hero Arts style and quality. Explore the beauty of painted decorative tiles, the intricacy of garden gates, and the dynamic silhouette of power lines.

For my first card today, I am using Hero Arts June 2024 Hero Studio Card Kit of the Month. This kit is the equivalent of the old My Monthly Hero Premium Kit. I started off by taking a panel of Hero Arts Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock and stamped the neighbourhood image from the Neighborhood Message Clear Stamp Set on top using Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink

I made a mask for the image by stamping it onto masking paper and then fussy cutting it out using scissors. I placed it on top of the panel and then using Hero Arts Large Ink Blending Brushes, I blended ink on top for the sky. I used Hero Arts Core Inks in Dandelion, Papaya and Pale Tomato. I removed the mask and then coloured the image using Copic Markers.

I stamped the sentiment and birds in the sky using black ink and then I felt like it needed something extra, so I stamped the little car onto white cardstock, coloured it with Copic Markers, fussy cut it out using scissors and then adhered it to the panel using thin foam tape. The panel was then in turn adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with thin foam tape.

My next card uses one of the new Extraordinary Extras products (formerly called add-ons) - Hero Arts Color Layering Tile Stencils. This set consists of 4 stencils that you can layer up to create a tile pattern. You can use all 4 layers or use as many as you wish to create the pattern of your choosing. I used all four for my card today. I placed them onto a 6" x 6" panel of white cardstock one at a time to add ink blending.

For the first layer I used Hero Arts Passion Flower Core Ink, the second layer uses Hero Arts Orchid Core Ink. The third layer uses Hero Arts Amethyst Core Ink and the forth uses Hero Arts Grape Juice Core Ink. I think it looks great having the layers be monochrome, but you can definitely mix and match colours and add in glitter paste etc. The skies the limit with patterns like these! I then cut the panel down to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and then adhered it to a US A2 sized white card base with tape runner adhesive.

I die cut the friend word from Hero Arts Friend Smile Stamp & Cut four times and adhered them up one on top of another for dimension, before adhering onto the card. I stamped a sentiment from Hero Arts Everyday Sentiments Strips Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink. I cut it onto a strip and adhered it to the card using thin foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Hero Arts Translucent Purples Enamel Dots
