Altenew | June 2024 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today to celebrate the June 2024 release. There are lots of new stamps, dies, embossing folders, stencils, inks and embellishments in the release and I am using a few of them on my cards today.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

My first card uses the new Altenew Build-A-Garden: Branching Roses & Add-On Die Set (can be purchased with or without the die). I started off by stamping the image from the set onto white cardstock using Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. I then took the stencils and one by one placed them on top of the image to colour it in using ink blending.

Using Altenew Mini Blending Brushes, I blended the new Altenew Sun-Kissed Delights Fresh Dye Inks onto the flower petals and Altenew Green Valley Fresh Dye Inks on the leaves. The image was then die cut out using the coordinating die. It was adhered to an A2 sized white card base with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape and the excess was cut off the sides using scissors.

I stamped the 'hugs' sentiment from the set onto white cardstock using Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. Once dry, it was die cut out using the coordinating die. I also cut the die another two times from white cardstock and adhered them one on top of another before adhering onto the card. The card is missing some embellishment, sadly the Sun-Kissed Delights Enamel Dots haven't reached me in time but I will add some to the card when they arrive!

My second card uses the beautiful Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Japanese Anemone Layering Die Set. It was cut from white cardstock and then I added ink blending on top using Altenew Mini Blending Brushes. I used the new Altenew Blushberry Bliss Fresh Dye Inks for the petals, Altenew Golden Sunset Fresh Dye Inks for the flower centres and the new Altenew Jade Dreams Fresh Dye Inks for the leaves.

The flowers were adhered together using the keyhole system. I took a white A2 sized card base and splattered Altenew Carbon Black Artists' Gouache on top. Once dry, the leaves were adhered on top with liquid glue, followed by the flowers.

I stamped the sentiment from the Altenew Build-A-Garden: Branching Roses Stamp Set onto black cardstock using Altenew Embossing Ink. I applied Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card using  Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape

My last card today uses the new Altenew Playful Flowers set. I stamped the image from the stamp set onto white cardstock using Altenew Permanent Black Ink. I then coloured it using Altenew Artist Alcohol Markers. I used the teals for the leaves from Water Garden Set H, the coral tones for the flowers from Island Garden Set Hand the orange tones for the other flowers from Beach Garden Set K

I die cut the image using the Altenew Playful Flowers Dies and then adhered it to a US A2 sized white card base with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape, cutting off the excess from the sides using scissors. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the set onto black cardstock, cut it into a strip and adhered it to the card. To finish off, I added a few new Altenew Black Onyx Gem Sparkles
