Spellbinders | Summertime Vacay

Hello there, I apologise that my posts are a bit sporadic at the moment, I am working behind the scenes but I can't share everything just yet. I am here today though to share a card made using the Spellbinders June 2024 Large Die of the Month Club Kit. It is called Summertime Vacay and you can see why, it is perfect for summer!

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off by die cutting the elements from the Spellbinders June 2024 Large Die of the Month Club Kit (I used all the dies in the kit). I die cut the chairs and parasol from Spellbinders Snowdrift and Lilac Blossom Cardstock. The chairs were assembled using Bearly Art Glue and set aside. For the parasol, I added ink blending to the back piece with Villainous Potion Distress Ink and then adhered the top pieces using thin foam tape.

I die cut the parasol pole from Spellbinders Brushed Silver Cardstock and popped it inside the parasol, adhering with Bearly Art Glue. I die cut the sand from Spellbinders Dune Cardstock and added ink blending using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The seafoam was cut from Spellbinders Snowdrift Cardstock. I die cut a panel of Spellbinders Waterfall Cardstock using the die included for the sea/ocean. I then added ink blending on top with Altenew Sweet Dreams Fresh Dye Inks.

I die cut the sun die and added ink blending to that with Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. The background piece is a panel of white cardstock that I added ink blending on top with Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Festive Berries Distress Inks. I adhered the sea/ocean piece to the background piece, followed by the sand (with the sun piece popped behind) and then the seafoam.

I cut off the excess from the edges with Pro Shears and then adhered the panel to a US A2 sized white card base with tape runner adhesive. The chairs and parasol were adhered on top using thin foam tape. I stamped a sentiment from the Spellbinders Typewriter Adventure Sentiments Clear Stamp Set onto black cardstock using Spellbinders Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied Spellbinders White Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card with thin foam tape. To finish off, I embellished with Spellbinders Dimensional Clear Enamel Dots

Personally, I am not a summer person. Whilst I like seeing the sun and seeing all the beautiful flowers, I am not a fan of the heat! I am hoping it is not TOO hot in London this year! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. Wishing you a wonderful day!
