Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today to celebrate the June 2023 release with a fun blog hop. This is a wonderful release full of stamps, dies, stencils and more! For my cards today, I am focussing on two die sets, as well as new sentiment set.
PLEASE
NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full
disclosure.
For my first card, I started off by die cutting the Altenew Orange Blossoms Die Set using cardstock (the colours that I used are linked in the supplies). The leaves, flowers and oranges layers were assembled using liquid glue. I adhered the branch on to a panel of white cardstock first and then adhered the oranges on top with foam tape.
The panel was adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape, before adhering the orange leaves and flowers on top. I took the sentiment from the Altenew Encouraging Sentiments Hot Foil Plate Set and foiled it on to white cardstock using Altenew Brushed Gold Hot Foil Roll and the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System.
The sentiment was die cut out using the Altenew Encouraging Sentiments Die Set and adhered to the card with more Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
My next card uses the new Altenew Bird of the Mountain Die Set, which was die cut from cardstock (the colours that I used are linked in the supplies). Although I am sure these birds are usually brown in colour, I decided to use blues today and I thought they worked really well! The layers were assembled and adhered using liquid glue.
I took a panel of cardstock and adhered leaves on top which were cut from white cardstock using the Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Open Peony Die Set. I did double up the layers so that they were two die cuts high, for added stability. The panel was adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
The bird was adhered on top. I then stamped the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips Stamp Set on to black cardstock using Altenew Embossing Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and set set. It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added a black gem to the bird's eye.
