Hero Arts | June 2023 My Monthly Hero Countdown to Creativity

Hello there and welcome as we countdown to the release of the Hero Arts June 2023 My Monthly Hero Kit. Both the Classic and Premium Kits release on Monday, 5th June 2023. We are sharing inspiration today and all weekend long using it. My cards today use the Classic kit only.

I am focussing my cards on the beautiful stamp layering images in the kit stamp set. As you can see, you can create a beautiful ocean/sea scene with clouds and a sun (or could be a moon too!). There are lots of other accompanying images in the set to create scenes too, like a lighthouse, boat, people etc.

Using the Mini MISTI, I created two panels for the ocean part first. I started off by stamping the sun image on to Hero Arts Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock using Hero Arts Dandelion Core Ink. I then stamped the cloud image below using Hero Arts Mist Core Ink

I took the first layer of the water and stamped that below using Hero Arts Paradise Core Ink. I then stamped the sun reflections stamp on top using Hero Arts Dandelion Core Ink. To finish the water, I stamped the second layer using Hero Arts Bermuda Core Ink, which adds some depth, but you could leave it off if you wanted.

On one panel I stamped the boat and birds and the other, I stamped the lighthouse and birds. They were all stamped using Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink. The panels were die cut using Hero Arts Hexagon and Circle Infinity Dies. I also created shaped card bases with these dies (using the hinge method to create the card base).

The panels were adhered to the card bases with thin foam tape. I stamped the sentiments from the stamp set on to Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock using Hero Arts Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink and applied Hero Arts White Detail Embossing Powder. They were cut into strips and adhered to the cards using more thin foam tape.

This stamp set is so versatile as you can stamp as many or as few of the stamp layers as you wish. There are two different shaped sun images too, so you can create a sunrise or sunset, or even a moon! Plus all the other accompanying images too. Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate it. I'll be back in a little while with another post but in the mean-time, I hope you have a great day!
