Hero Arts | November 2022 My Monthly Hero Countdown to Creativity

Hello there and welcome as we countdown to the release of the Hero Arts November 2022 My Monthly Hero Kit. Release day is Monday 7th November 2022 and from now until then, we will be sharing inspiration using the kit.

My tag today uses the main kit which is all about ornament/tag building. There are so many different ways you can use these dies. The possibilities are endless! I am sharing one tag today but will share another, plus a card, on release day.

I started off my tag by die cutting the main circle tag shape from Hero Arts Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock. I then added ink blending to it to create a sky. I used Hero Arts Amethyst and Grape Juice Core Inks with Large Ink Blending Brushes. I splattered on Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White Paint and set it aside to dry.

Whilst it was drying, I die cut the elements for the scene. I cut the trees from Hero Arts Meadow and Shamrock cardstock. The larger one has an exposed tree trunk, so I cut it from Hero Arts Cup O' Joe Cardstock and layered them up. The church was cut from white cardstock and Hero Arts Granite Cardstock for the door. For the house and church windows, I adhered a little Hero Arts Vellum layering Paper to the back.

Once the tag was dry, I die cut another clean white one to add to the back. I then die cut the snowbank from white cardstock and adhered it to the front using Hero Arts Precision Glue, popping some of the trees behind before the glue dried. The larger tree, church and house were adhered using thin foam tape.

I took the sentiment from the clear stamp set in the kit and stamped it on to Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock using Hero Arts Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied Hero Arts White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. It was fussy cut out with scissors and added to the tag with more thin foam tape. To finish off, I added a few silver gems as well as well as white gel pen dots to the trees.
