Altenew | Craft-A-Flower Orion Geranium Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there and happy Altenew Craft-A-Flower release day! This month's flower is the Orion Geranium. I did do a search and found that they are usually purpley blue in colour, so I was happy to use my favourite purple shades on this card. We are celebrating the release with a fun, inspiration filled blog hop. Please see below for more details.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

To start with, I die cut the Altenew Craft-A-Flower Orion Geranium Layering Die Set from Altenew New Purple Gradient Cardstock for the flower petals. I then die cut the leaves from Altenew Green Meadows Gradient Cardstock. I did originally cut the stamens for the flowers from yellow but I didn't like them and actually, looking at photos, it looks like the stamens are quite dark for these flowers usually, so I just cut them from purple.

The flowers were assembled, adhering the layers with Altenew 2 in 1 Precision Glue. I took an A2 white card base and simply arranged the leaves on the card base first, adhering down with glue and then the flowers added on top. I wanted to keep the card quite flat.

I took the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Altenew Embossing Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. To finish off, I added a few Altenew Essential Black & White Enamel Dots
