Reverse Confetti | January 2022 Release Blog Hop

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Reverse Confetti today to celebrate the release of the January products. Lots of yummyness in the release this month with the stamps and dies. Lots are Valentine's and love themed but lots are all year round as well, which I love! We are celebrating the release with a fun, inspiration filled blog hop. More info on that below.

Today I am using the new Love Bugs set, along with the new Postal Cover Panel Confetti Cuts. When looking at this set (and it's name!) you would think it was mainly love themed and the images can be used that way, but they can also be used how I have used them for friendship projects.

For the card, I started off by stamping the bee from the Reverse Confetti Love Bugs Stamp Set on to white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I coloured it with Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area) and then cut it out with the Reverse Confetti Love Bugs Confetti Cuts. I took the larger of the heart dies from the Reverse Confetti Postal Cover Panel Confetti Cuts set and cut it from white cardstock.

I placed the MFT Cloud Stencil on top and using an ink blending brush and Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink, added clouds on to the heart, moving the stencil down as I went. I then took the Reverse Confetti Stitched Rays Cover Panel Confetti Cuts and ran it through my die cutting machine with a panel of white cardstock. It was adhered to the front of an A2 white card base and the heart added on top with thin foam tape.

I took the sentiment from the Love Bugs set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with more thin foam tape. To finish off, I added Hero Arts Prisma Glitter to the wings (with Quickie Glue Pen to hold it in place) and white gel pen highlights, with Black Glaze pen for the eyes.

I couldn't resist creating a little tag with one of the other characters in the set. I started off by stamping the dragonfly from the Reverse Confetti Love Bugs Stamp Set on to white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I coloured it with Copic Markers and cut it out with the Reverse Confetti Love Bugs Confetti Cuts

I cut the smaller heart from the Reverse Confetti Postal Cover Panel Confetti Cuts from white cardstock and added the cloud ink blending on top. This time using the MFT Mini Cloud Stencil. I die cut the Reverse Confetti Dashed Line Tag Confetti Cuts from acetate and added the heart on top with thin foam tape.

The dragonfly was added on top with another layer of thin foam tape. I cut another heart and dragonfly die cut (without the stamping) from white cardstock to add to the back of the tag to hide the adhesive. I added twine through the top of the tag and a mini clothespin. To finish off, I added the same glitter and gel pen highlights and Little Things from Lucy's cards Bubbles.

BLOG HOP:

As mentioned, this post is part of a fun, inspiration filled blog hop. You should have arrived here from the amazing Amy Kolling. Next on the hop is the wonderful Kellianne Wilson. If you get lost along the hop, or want to start from the beginning, please head over to the Reverse Confetti Blog but the full list of participants is listed below too.

I love creating see-through tags and things like that but then forget that when I go to photograph them, that they are really difficult to photograph! Never mind! Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day! Take care.

  2. These are both so cute! The little love bugs are so cute and they work equally well on a tag as well as a card! Your colouring is amazing as always, and I love the use of hearts on both the tag and card, so sweet and perfect for friendship too xx
