Gift Card Holder - DTDF

Hello there, today I have a quick gift card holder to share with you. I have kept it really simple as then I thought it could be suitable for a man or a woman. I have cut the PTI Gift Card Holder Die with Bo Bunny paper and then wrapped some Aqua twine around the front flap. I have then cut an MFT snowflake and first covered it with Wink of Stella clear pen and then with Glossy Accents, this has been added to the front with 3D foam pads. For the inside, I again kept it really simple by stamping the sentiment on to some white cardstock and cutting it out with an MFT Sentiment Strip die.

Lilac Snowflakes

Hello there, today I am sharing with you the card I made for my mum this year for Christmas. I thought the SSS Eliza and Kate snowflakes were so pretty I just had to use them. My mum loves lilac so I had to use that too! I have cut the Eliza Snowflake from white CS and then gone over it with the Wink of Stella Clear Brush. I have then layered the Kate Snowflake on top cut from vellum CS and added the Wink Of Stella too. I had to finish it off with some little Doodlebug lilac pearls.

Thanks to Judy, I will be entering this into the current CASology challenge where the cue card is snowflakes. Thanks so much for visiting me today, I hope you are all well. I cannot believe we are already at the 10th December, isn't time going quickly? I still have a few more presents to get but I *think* I have finished with my Christmas cards now (I haven't shared them all yet but I think I have made them all), we shall see!

Silver Tree

Hello there, the latest challenge over at Less Is More, is to use a metalic with another colour. I decided to use silver with white. I know that there will be some discussion whether white is classified as a colour or not but I hope it counts! I don't use much metalic in my card making but I do like the effect of silver and white especially.

I remember now why I do not use metalic very often - they are a nightmare to photograph! Thank you so much for visiting me today. I hope you all have an amazing week!

Storage Sunday - Ribbon

Hello there, last week I said that that one would be my last Storage Sunday feature. Well, I completely forgot about ribbon and ink pad storage. Today I am sharing with you how I store my  non-reeled ribbon (my full rolls are in my Embellishment storage) and next week, for the last episode I will share how I store my ink pads.

I have quite a lot of ribbon that I have bought in meters or yards so not on rolls or spools. I was never sure how to store these and then a few years back I came across the idea of rolling the pieces up and popping them in the Embellishment boxes from Cropper Hopper. The individual boxes all fit into the larger Embellishment Cases.

I love that you can pull how much you need from the boxes, cut the desired length and it is still all nice and neat in the box. I also like that they can be organised into manufacturer, type of ribbon or like I have in colour order. I have the mini boxes, which hold up to 12mm wide ribbon and the cube boxes which hold up to 19-20mm wide ribbon. In each box you can fit at least 5 meters of ribbon which is great. I have used this system for quite a long time now and I still find it useful.

The other side of the box is one large section which I hold more packets of ribbon that are flat or twine that come in packets.

Here is the video showing you what the system is like:

I hope that some of you may found that helpful. I think that it is neat way of storing ribbon. I think the boxes were originally made for brads, buttons etc. but I think they work really well with the ribbon. How do you store yours? Thanks so much for watching.

Christmas Wreath - DTDF

Hello there, today I have another Christmas card to share with you that I made for the Dies to Die for Blog. I have used the CC Designs Holly & Berry die to cut the holly leaves and arrange them in to a wreath. I have then popped on some Bazzill Jewels and added some twine. The sentiment is from the MFT Christmas Ornaments set.

Thanks For Your Kindness

Hello there, today I have a quick thank you card to share with you. I have simply stamped the sentiment from the SSS Thanks set on to card base and then stamped the heart from the SSS Square Sayings stamp set above. I stamped lightly with PTI Lavender Moon ink and used some Tombow Mono Multi Glue and applied a think layer over the top. I then added some Doodlebug Sugar Coating Glitter in Lilac over the top.

Thank you so much for visiting me today. Hope you are having a good week so far. I am still ploughing along trying to buy my Christmas presents and finish off my Christmas cards!

Storage Sunday - Embossing Folders & Felt

Hello there, welcome back to another edition of my storage series. Today I have two different items to show you: how I store my embossing folders and how I store my felt. These have no connection but since they are both short videos I thought I would add them both together on the same post.

First up is my embossing folders. I have quite a few embossing folders from different companies. Most of them are the same size and I have them stored in an old Maya Road tin. They fit in there nicely and I can flick through and see what I have. I label each folder with a black permanent marker. Here is a little look a bit closer up ...

Next up is my felt. I have two types - Papertrey Ink rolls and Dies to Die for sheets. For my PTI rolls I have cut them in half and added three rolls into one of the original packaging bag to save space. I keep these in one of the drawers in my 'embellishment centre'. The other felt which I use is by DTDF, these come in 12"x12" sheets and I cut them up in to A4 sheets. I have them in a plastic folder which I got from Ryman's (they also sell them in Staples and Tesco's I think). You can see this a bit closer up here ...

I think that is the end of my Sunday Storage series. Thank you so much to those who have watched my videos and left comments, I really do appreciate it. I hope my ideas may have helped some of you store your craft items. **EDA: I forgot, there are still two more videos I want to film for this series - off cuts of ribbon and ink pad storage!** Thank you so much for visiting me today.
