Spellbinders | Congrats Grad!

Hello there, today I have a card to share using the Spellbinders Classic Mouse Graduation Collection. The die set includes Classic Mouse, as well as the gown, mortarboard, scroll and shoes. Unlike the other Classic Mouse add-ons, you do not need the original Steamboat Willie Duo set for this one. The body, head and arms of the mouse are included.

I started off by die cutting the Spellbinders Classic Mouse Graduation Etched Dies from Spellbinders ColorWheel Cardstock. I cut the body, head, arms, tail and eyelashes from Raven, the face from Alabaster, and the mouth from Poppy. The gown and mortarboard were cut from Fairy Tale, Lavender and Lilac

There are two types of shoes in the set - one set geared more towards the boy mouse, and one for the girl mouse. Although I am using the girl mouse today, I used the boy mouse shoes as that is what I would wear! I cut those from Lilac and Classic White cardstock. I also cut the scroll from those colours of cardstock too. The pieces were assembled and adhered using Bearly Art Glue, following the assembly guide on the website.

I added a panel of white cardstock onto a black US A2 sized card base using tape runner adhesive. I then added the mouse on top with thin foam tape. I hot foiled the sentiment from Spellbinders Classic Mouse Graduation Sentiments Press + Foil Plate & Die Set onto white cardstock using Spellbinders Opaque Black Foil and the Glimmer Hot Foil System. It was die cut out and adhered to the card. To finish, I embellished with Spellbinders Silver and Prism AB Color Essentials Gems.

I would have loved a purple gown for my graduation! For my diploma I had a blue gown (which was pretty!) and for my degree, I had a maroon and gold gown (which wasn't so much to my taste!). Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a great weekend!
