Simon Says Stamp | Snowflake Cut Outs

Hello there, today I have two cards to share using the new Large Snowflake Cutouts Stencils from the new Simon Says Stamp Sugar & Spice release which is out today. The set has two stencils - one large snowflake inside a rectangle shape, and the other, a large snowflake inside a circle shape.

I started off my card by taking the rectangle stencil from the Simon Says Stamp Large Snowflake Cutouts Stencils and placing it onto a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of white cardstock. Using blending brushes, I blended Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet on top. 

I removed the stencil and then went over the snowflake with the same brushes and ink, with just a lighter hand this time. I then splattered on some water using a paintbrush and set it aside to dry. Once dry, I stamped a sentiment from the new Simon Says Stamp + CZ Design Inside Holiday Greetings on top with Versamark Ink. 

I applied white embossing powder and heat set. The panel was then adhered to a white US A2 sized card base with tape runner adhesive. To finish, I embellished with Pinkfresh Studio Iridescent Dew Drops. 

For the second card, I took the circle stencil from the Simon Says Stamp Large Snowflake Cutouts Stencils and placed it onto a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of white cardstock. I added ink blending with the same Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet Distress Inks. 

I added water splatter with a paintbrush, removed the stencil and set it aside to dry before adhering it onto a white US A2 sized card base. I stamped a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas Stamp Set onto black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card with thin foam squares. To finish, I embellished with Pinkfresh Studio Iridescent Dew Drops.
