HERO STUDIO CARD KIT OF THE MONTH

I started off my card by stamping the Tulip HeroScape on to a panel of Hero Arts Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock. I used Hero Arts Green Apple Core Ink for the first/lighter layer of the stems/leaves, followed by Hero Arts Fresh Lawn Core Ink for the second/darker layer. The tulips were stamped using Hero Arts Orchid Core Ink for the first/lighter layer and Hero Arts Grape Juice Core Ink for second/darker layer.

I then die cut the panel using a Hero Arts Hexagon Infinity Die. I also cut another two hexagons from white cardstock. I placed the 'hey there' Word Fancy Die on top of the stamped one and ran it through my die cutting machine, making sure to keep both the positive and negative die cut pieces safe. I adhered one of the white hexagon pieces to the back of the panel.

I then die cut the 'hey there' die another four times from white cardstock. I adhered the first one in place on the stamped panel (die cut inlay) and then added all the negative pieces from the first die cut back in too. I then stacked up and adhered the other word die cuts on top, followed by the stamped one, to create an eclipse look.

I made a score line towards the top of the other hexagon piece to create a hinge. I added glue onto the hinge and adhered it to the back of the stamped one, to create a hexagon shaped card base. To finish, I embellished with Hero Arts Clear Enamel Dots.

LAYERING STENCILS OF THE MONTH

I started off my card by taking a panel of Hero Arts Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock and placed the first stencil in the bottom left hand corner. I added ink blending using Hero Arts Lemon Yellow Core Ink. I added a little Hero Arts Dandelion Core Ink around the edges of the daffodil petals for some depth. I then took the second stencil and placed it in the bottom left hand corner. For this layer, I used Hero Arts Dandelion Core Ink and Butter Bar Core Ink.

For the third layer (base of leaves), I used Hero Arts Green Apple Core Ink. For the top layer, I used Hero Arts Papaya Core Ink for the last layer on the daffodils, and Hero Arts Fresh Lawn Core Ink for the last layer on the leaves and stems. The panel was then cut down slightly before adhering to a US A2 sized black card base made from Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock

I stamped a sentiment from the Hero Studio February 2025 Clear Set & Dies of the Month onto Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock using Hero Arts Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied Hero Arts Detail White Embossing Powder and heat set. It was die cut out using the coordinating die and adhered to the card with thin foam tape. To finish, I embellished with Hero Arts Neutrals (black) Enamel Dots
