Spellbinders | Inky Snowflakes

Hello there and happy Monday to you! As mentioned on Friday, I am back to share another way to use the Spellbinders Flurry of Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder with you. This time, I am using the folder as a focal point in itself.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off by running the Spellbinders Flurry of Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder through my die cutting machine with a panel of white cardstock. If you use the Platinum 6, you will need the new Universal Plate System to work with these 3D folders.

Using Blending Brushes, I blended on Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Wilted VioletVillainous Potion and Black Soot. I then splattered on Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz and Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White paint before setting it aside to dry.

The panel was adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with thin foam tape. I took the sentiment from the Spellbinders Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and foiled it on to Spellbinders Royal Amethyst Cardstock with Spellbinders Silver Glimmer Hot Foil Roll.

It was cut into a strip and added to the card with more thin foam tape. To finish off, I added teeny tiny Spellbinders Silver Mix Color Essentials Gems to the centres of the snowflakes.

This card is actually giving me Halloween vibes ... without the snowflakes of course! I think because of the colours, but I do really like how it turned out and something a little bit different! It shows up the snowflakes beautifully, too! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a lovely day!

  1. This is absolutely gorgeous with those beautiful purples! I just love how it glows and the way the snowflakes are highlighted with the purple inks. Stunning card, so pretty and I love it!
