Spellbinders | Holiday Haul

Hello there, today I have a card to share with you using the Spellbinders October Club Kits. I am using the Small Die of the Month Club Kit which is called Holiday Haul, as well as the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club Kit which is called Sending You. They work perfectly together!

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my card by creating the background so that it had time to dry. I took a panel of white cardstock measuring 3.25" x 6.25" and blended Distress Oxide Inks on to the top, blending to white at the bottom to kind of look like snow. I used Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. I then spritzed the panel with Tim Holtz Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain and Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz for a frosty look. The panel was set aside to dry while I worked on the truck.

I die cut the elements from the Spellbinders October 2021 Small Die of the Month Club Kit. I used Spellbinders Purple Mist and Lilac Blossom cardstock for the body of the truck and added sliver details with Spellbinders Brushed Silver Cardstock. The tree was cut from Spellbinders Rainforest Cardstock and I added shading to it with Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink. The gift was cut using Spellbinders Glacier and Raindrop Cardstock.

The truck and contents were assembled and adhered together using Bearly Art Glue. I adhered the background panel to a mini slimline card base and then added the truck on top with foam squares. I took the sentiment from the Spellbinders Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club Kit and stamped it on to white cardstock with black ink. It was die cut out and I also die cut another two times from white cardstock so that I could stack it up for dimension.

It was adhered to the card with more Bearly Art Glue and then I stamped the accompanying sentiment on to Spellbinders Onyx Cardstock using Clear Pigment Ink and applied White Embossing Powder. It was heat set and cut in to a strip. It was added below the sending with thin foam tape to complete the sentiment. To finish off, I added a Spellbinders Silver Mix Color Essential Gem to the bow on the gift.

I hope that you will check out the Spellbinders Club Kits. It is a wonderful monthly subscription where you receive the kit each month. Designers like myself share inspiration using the kit at the beginning of the month to show you lots of different ways that you can use it. There are also lots of other club kits too, like the Large Die of the Month, so there is something for everyone! If you do subscribe, you will get other benefits from Spellbinders too. Please see here for more information. You can also buy older kits here too.

Although I have never owned nor driven or even been a passenger in a truck, this card was a lot of fun to make! I love that sentiment set too, perfect for so many different designs. Thanks so much for stopping by today, I really appreciate it. I hope you have a great day!
