Hello there, today sees the release of the Altenew Rustic Charm Release. There are lots of new products releasing today - stamps, dies, embossing folders, washi tape, DIY brush marker and a mister bottle. We are celebrating the release with a fun blog hop full of inspiration and prizes, more on that below.

disclosure.
My first card uses the beautiful new Floral Halos set. This is so pretty and can be used in lots of different ways. I started off by stamping the flowers from the
Altenew Floral Halos Stamp Set on to white cardstock with black ink. I coloured them using Copic Markers and then die cut them using the
Altenew Floral Halos Die Set.
Using the new
Altenew Fine Mister - Perfect Craftroom Companion, I spritzed the piece with water. This gave a lovely mottled texture to the cardstock. Once the panel was dry, I re-ran it through my die cutting machine with the embossing folder to bring the embossing out even more.
This is almost impossible to see in the photos sadly and is still subtle in real-life but does add that extra shimmer and sparkle to the card.

ReplyDeleteBoth the cards are so beautiful. Of course I love the floral card with the halo effect as it makes a fabulous focal point and of course your colouring is amazing on the flowers and leaves! That snowflake embossing folder though - I may have to buy that! I love the layered look you get with it and the colours are stunning. I'm adding it to my wish list! I can't resist anything snowflake :-) xx
ReplyDeleteOh Michelle; those are really lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love the snow flake card! What a cool embossing folder.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful floral card, and I LOVE the embossed snowflakes! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas here. I understand the shimmer spray idea, and know that it will really pop IRL. I especially like the extra step of embossing again, and so I'll try that. I have the Sweet Dreams ink combo but didn't think to try it with the snowflakes, thank you! Love love the fountain pen in the photo styling - I'm a fan of Japanese fountain pens and their colored inks.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! Love how you colored the flower image. :)
