Hero Arts | September 2021 My Monthly Hero Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there and welcome as we celebrate the release of the Hero Arts September 2021 My Monthly Hero Release. The theme this month is fall goodness and the main kit features the most gorgeous sunflowers! The add on sets feature more flowers, some Halloween and autumnal themes. We are celebrating with a fun, inspiration filled blog hop with prizes, please see below for more details. 

 

My first card that I am sharing today features the main kit. I created another card using the main kit for the countdown, which you can see here. On that card I used the stencil, for this card I am using the stamp set but you can combine them so that you can colour with the stencil. I started off by stamping the sunflowers image from the Hero Arts September 2021 My Monthly Hero Kit on to white cardstock with Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink.

I coloured it with Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area) and die cut it out with the coordinating die. I took a top folding card base and using Hero Arts Ink Blending Brushes, blended on Hero Arts Lemon Drop Reactive Ink first, followed by Hero Arts Just Rust Mid-Tone Shadow Ink. Focusing most of the colour at the top and blending to white at the bottom. The sunflowers were adhered on top with thin foam tape. 

I took the thanks word die in the kit and cut it three times from white cardstock with adhesive sheet on the back. They were stacked up and adhered to the card. I then took the sentiment from the Hero Arts Color Layering Pumpkin Stamp Set (an add-on set this month) and stamped it on to Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock with Hero Arts Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied Hero Arts White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with more thin foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Ice Cube Jewels. 

My next card uses the new Marigolds set, which is an add-on this month. I started off by stamping the flower head, leaves and stem from the Hero Arts Marigolds Stamp Set on to white cardstock with Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink. They were coloured with Copic Markers and die cut out with the Hero Arts Marigolds Frame Cuts. 

I took a top folding card base and masked off the bottom corner. Using Hero Arts Ink Blending Brushes, I then blended on Hero Arts Splash and Blue Hawaii Reactive Inks, followed by Hero Arts Navy Mid-Tone Shadow Ink. The mask was removed and the flower and leaves adhered with a combination of thin foam tape and Hero Arts Precision Glue. 

I took the sentiment from the Hero Arts Autumn Messages Stamp Set (another add-on set this month) and stamped it on to Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock with Hero Arts Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with more thin foam tape.
