Altenew | Thanks & Blessings Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today for the release of the new Thanks and Blessings Collection. As you can imagine from the name, there are lots of sets in the set to give thanks and also to share blessings. There are also some wonderful storage items and tools releasing today too. We are celebrating the release with a fun blog hop, more details on that below.

My first card uses the new Floral Thanks set, along with the new palette knives. I started off by stamping the Altenew Floral Thanks Stamp Set on to white cardstock with Altenew Glacier Caves and Green Fields Crisp Dye Inks. The image is stamped in separate layers so that you can build it up with different colours - so cool! I then stamped the thanks word separately with Altenew Obsidian Black Ink, so that I could die cut it out and pop it up on top but the original layers do have the word as well.

They were die cut with the Altenew Floral Thanks Dies and I also cut them another two times just from white cardstock to layer them up. They were then set aside while I worked on the background. I took a panel of white cardstock and placed the Altenew Bubble Wrap Stencil on top, securing in place with low tack tape. Using the new Altenew Mixed Media Palette Knives, I applied Altenew Embossing Paste over the stencil, removed any excess and let it sit to dry.

Once dry, the background panel was adhered to an A2 white card base. The flowers were stacked up with the die cuts and then added on top, followed by the stacked thanks word. I took the 'so much' from the stamp set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink.

I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. To finish off, I added a few Altenew Glacier Caves Enamel Dots

Next up, I wanted to share with you the new storage item for this release. It is the Altenew Crafters Showcase: Small Ink Blending Tool Stackable Storage. This is a clear stackable storage box that can hold 24 mini ink blending tools. I love storage so you can imagine how excited I am by this!

I have been looking for storage for my small ink blending tools for a little while now, so this is perfect! If you just have the tools in it, you can store 24 in it. As you will see from other designers though, you can store other items in it too, like washi tape. They are also stackable so you can stack more on top of each other, or you can pop other items on top as it has a lid, which is great!

My next card uses the new Cartoon Tulips set, along with the All About Thanks Word dies. This is a wonderful stamp layering set but because it has the outline image, it could be coloured with different mediums too. I started off my stamping the outline layer from the Altenew Cartoon Tulips Stamp Set on to white cardstock with black ink. I then stamped the layers with Altenew Cherry Blossom Crisp Dye Inks and the stems with Green Fields. They were die cut out with the Altenew Cartoon Tulips Die Set

I also cut two additional layers from the dies so that I could stack them up, like I did on the first card. I took a panel of white cardstock and placed it in my die cutting machine with the Altenew Sunburst Stencil. I ran it through to emboss the design on to the cardstock and then adhered the panel to an A2 white card base with tape runner. The tulips were then adhered on top.

I took the large thanks die from the new Altenew All About Thanks Word Die Set and cut it three times from black cardstock with Altenew Double-Sided Adhesive Sheet on the back. I cut the shadow once from white cardstock. They were layered up and added to the card. To finish off, I added a few Iridescent Jewels.

Last but not least, my last project today uses the new Joy to the World Typography set, along with the coordinating stencil and die and the new Mini Blending Brush Set. I started off by stamping the layers of the Altenew Joy to the World Typography Stamp Set on to white cardstock with Obsidian Black Ink for the main word and Altenew Sweet Dreams Crisp Dye Inks for the layers. This set is similar to the first in that it comes in different layers so you can use different colours of ink.

I then placed the Altenew Joy to the World Typography Simple Coloring Stencil on top and using the new Altenew Mini Ink Blending Brush Set, blended on the same colours of inks to create the shadow on the words. It was die cut out using the Altenew Joy to the World Die Set and also cut another two times from white cardstock (do you see a theme here?!).

I took a panel of white cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine to emboss the Altenew Leaves & Berries Stencil on top. I like doing this as it just gives subtle interest in the background.

The panel was adhered to an A2 white card base with tape runner and the Joy to the World added on top, stacked up. To finish off, I added a black heart from the Altenew Essential Black & White  Enamel Dots Set, inside the 'o'.
