Simon Says Stamp | STAMPtember Party Time!

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Simon Says Stamp today for their STAMPtember Party! Loads of designers have got together to celebrate STAMPtember, which kicked off yesterday. Each designer at the party has a fun prize/promotion to share with you so be sure to stop off at as many party guests blogs as possible to find all of the prizes. More on that below.

For my projects today, I am sharing more inspiration using the Printmaking Florals Background that I used yesterday. Today, however, I am using it in a different way. As I mentioned yesterday, you can stamp the background as one or you can separate the layers like I have done today. They would look great stamped in different colours of ink but I thought I would keep it simple and stamp it with Versamark Ink again but this time for a tone-on-tone look.

For the card, I started off by taking strips of different colours of cardstock and stamping two of the strips/layers from the Simon Says Stamp Printmaking Florals Background Stamp on top with Versamark Ink. Since the ink does take a long time to dry, I heat set them with my heat gun. I then cut them out using the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Labels Dies. I also cut other colours of cardstock using the die set in the various different sizes.

I took a piece of printer paper and added ATG adhesive on to it. I then placed the strips on top, alternating the colors as I went. Although you cannot see the stamping on the yellow layer very well in the photos, it is more visible in real-life. Once the strips were all down, I ran it through my die cutting machine with the largest of the Sunny Studio Slimline Pennants Dies. I then cut the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Die from vellum and folded part of it over the back so that I could secure it in place. The banner was then adhered to an A2 white card base with tape runner.

I took the Simon Says Stamp Stitching Butterflies Dies and cut them from white cardstock. I adhered the wings on to the card with foam tape and the bodies with Bearly Art Glue. The foam tape helped secure the vellum to the card. I took the CZ Design Happy Reverse Sentiment Strips and cut the 'happy birthday' sentiment using another of the Sentiment Labels Dies. It was adhered on to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added Simon Says Stamp Moonshine Sequins

Since I had some stamped strips left over, I decided to make a little tag with them. I took another piece of printer paper and adhered the strips like I did for the card (this time with strips all with the stamping on). I then ran it through my die cutting machine with the Hero Arts Tag Infinity Dies Set. I cut the hole reinforcer from black cardstock and adhered it on top.

I adhered another Simon Says Stamp Stitching Butterfly Die on top and another Happy Reverse Sentiment. To finish off, I added more Moonshine Sequins and twine through the top of the tag.
