New Home

Hello there, yesterday I was over on the Hero Arts Blog sharing a card using the new Bird House Fancy Die that was released as an add-on to the August 2020 My Monthly Hero Kit.

I die cut the elements from the Hero Arts Bird House Fancy Die using Sand and Cherry cardstock. The bird was die cut using Dove White. I then added Copic Marker shading to the elements and added them with foam tape on to the card base. For the card base, I die cut the Woodgrain Texture Fancy Die from more Dove White cardstock and adhered it on the front of a top folding A2 card base. The little heart is from the US Map Infinity Die set.

The sentiment from the House Stamp & Cut set was stamped on to Pitch Black Cardstock with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added Crystal Clear Lacquer Pen to the heart.

  2. Michelle, your card is really cute -- does that woodgrain die cut all the way through the paper? I love how subtle it is and wondered how you got that look, but from the HA website, it looks like it cuts all the way through, I suppose I could use an embossing pad, but I thought I'd ask as I already have a woodgrain embossing folder....

    1. Thank you so much for your kind comment. I guess the answer is yes and no. It does cut through so you couldn't really use it as it is as a panel without adhering it on to a card base but the panel does stay as one piece. I hope that make sense! I have embossed with it too and that also gives a lovely look. Thank you so much for stopping by!
