Reindeer Fun

Hello there, I am back to share the card I have made for my brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephews. I am using the ME Reindeer Games set again but this time, I decided to make Rudolph in to spinner element.

I started off with a white A2 card base. I took the second to largest die from the SSS Stitched Rectangle dies and cut a window from this. I also then cut two frames using this die and the larger one, to add to the front and the inside. I also die cut a snow bank using the ME Landscape Border Trio dies, as well as the mountains from the ME Snow Capped Mountains die. The reindeer were stamped, coloured with Copics and then cut out using the matching dies.

The background sky piece was inked using Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks. I then splattered over Copic Opaque White on to it for snow. I also blended over some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on to the mountains and a little on to the snow bank. These were all adhered to the inside of the card using ATG. The Reindeer were then added on top, as well as the candy cane and present.

I then took some invisible (clear) thread and added a piece of this to the back of Rudolf, I then added the back of Rudolph over the top to sandwich in the thread. This was added to the front panel of the card by adhering the tread to the top and bottom of the card base and then adding the frames on top. To finish off, I added Glossy Accents to the reindeers' noses. The greeting will go on the back panel of the card.

It was a little tricky to photograph this card and sadly you cannot see it in it's entirety but I have to say, I love how this card came out; quite a bit of work but well worth it! Thank you so much for visiting me today. I hope you are having a great weekend!

  1. Love it! I think spinners are so brilliant and this one is fabulous. I love the sky on the inside - the little bit of seedless preserves adds to the blues so much. Gorgeous! They'll love it. Xx
