Hello there, not long to wait now until the new Clearly Besotted products will be available to purchase. They will all be released tomorrow evening at 10pm :) I have another two teasers to share today. One winter themed and one Halloween.
My first card uses the new Stitched Mittens stamp set and matching dies. It is perfect for winter cards. I first took the smaller mittens from the set and stamped them on to some kraft cardstock using Versamark ink. I applied WOW! bright White Embossing Powder and then heat set them. These were coloured using Coloursoft pencils.
I took a kraft card base and embossed a rectangle on to using the SSS Stitched Rectangle dies through my Cuttlebug. The sentiment, was again stamped with Versamark and heat set with white EP. The mittens were added with foam tape and then I added a little clear Wink of Stella to them. I love the look of coloured pencils on kraft cardstock.

COLOURSOFT PENCILS: Blue, Pale Blue.
My next card uses the new Giving Thanks stamp set. It is a great mix and match set full of different items to go in a wheelbarrow. I looked at the set a little differently an decided to make a pile of pumpkins for Halloween.
I first stamped the pumpkins using Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured then using Copic Markers. These were then fussy cut out and set aside. I took a panel of white cardstock (cut using a SSS Stitched Rectangle) and applied Distress Inks on to it using a blending tool. I applied Dusty Concord and Black Soot.
The sentiment, from the Many Mini Messages set, was stamped with Veramark and heat embossed with white EP. The pumpkins were then layered on top and a coat of clear WOS added to them. I took a black card base (4"x5") and embossed it using the Docrafts Quilting EF. The panel was added on top with foam tape.

Love your mittens on Kraft - I'm considering the Coloursoft now, they look beautiful on Kraft. Those pumpkins look good enough to eat. Looking forward to your last sneak peaks tomorrow and video :) xx

ReplyDeletehow did you - get an impression on the rectangle die without cutting through ? lovely cards
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie L, I hope you see this comment as I cannot find another way of contacting you. On the first card I embossed the rectangle die without cutting by adding a tan mat behind the die. I have a video showing how to do it here - https://youtu.be/J6DDMMmyca4 I hope that helps :)
