Handmade Kindness

Hello there, I am sure you have all been following Jennifer McGuire's Share Handmade Kindness Challenge but in case you haven't, the concept is to share handmade kindness with people. Every week there is a different group of people to share with. Jennifer was kind enough to send me a box of goodies to enable me to make some cards to send out. Here is my first card using it.

I started with a piece of TH watercolour cardstock. I then pouched/smooshed various colours of Distress Ink on to it. Once dried, I took the sentiment from the HA Acts of Kindness set, and stamped this with black Versafine ink. I then stamped the hearts around it.

To finished off, I added Glossy Accents to the hearts as well as a gem. The panel was then adhered to a white card base.

Fawn

Hello there, for a long while now I have loved Purple Onion Designs stamps, mainly the Stacey Yucula ones. Well, after a lot of looking, I finally made an order and got a few of them. This one is called Fawn, isn't he just adorable?

I first took a piece of Fabriano Classico 5 paper and stamped Fawn on to it using Archival Ink. I then coloured him using Polychromos pencils. The sentiment, from the Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages set, was stamped beside fawn using the same black ink. I then cut this out using the ME Femme Frames rectangle die.

I then took a SSS Lavender A2 card base and ran this through my Cuttlebug with the PTI Peace Be Still Impression Plate. The stamped panel was then added on top with foam sheet. To finish off, I added a little Wink of Stella to the scarf, white gel pen to Fawn's cheeks and Glossy Accents to the berries on the Mistletoe.

Festive Flamingo

Hello there, whilst I was unwell, I kindly received the Newton's Nook Festive Flamingos set as a present from a friend. Oh my goodness! This set is so cute, I couldn't wait to ink it up.

I started off by stamping the pair of flamingos image on to white cardstock. I then coloured in the flamingo on the right with Copic Markers and fussy cut out his body and bauble separately. I took the Stitched Tag die from Paper Smooches and cut this from white cardstock. I masked off the stamp with post-it tape and stamped the legs and the bauble string only.

The Flamingo's body and the bauble were then added on top with foam tape. The sentiment, from the same set, was stamped to the left. I then took an A2 white card base and blended on some Distress Inks in Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick, the tag was added on top with foam tape. I added some Hemptique Cord (coloured with a V15 copic marker) through the top of the tag. To finish off, I added a few enamel dots, as well as some Glossy Accents on to bauble and clear Wink of Stella on the scarf.
