A Little Note

Hello there, good morning to you! When I feel a little lacking in mojo I often grab a stamp set that makes me feel happy. The Gleeful Gardens set from Lawn Fawn definitely puts a smile on my face. For my card today, I took inspiration from a card that I had made before here. This time, I changed the circle frame to a square and used different grass.

I started off by stamping the toadstools/mushrooms and hummingbird from the Gleeful Gardens set. These were coloured with Copic markers and then cut out using the matching dies. I then cut a frame from white cardstock using the SSS Stitched Square Dies. The ME Grassy Border die was also cut out, this time from LF Let's Polka paper.

To put my card together, I took a piece of AE Sorbet paper and added this to a white A2 card base. I then added my grass pieces on top, followed by the frame which I added with foam tape. The toadstools and hummingbird were added with foam tape also. The sentiment, from the CB Many Mini Messages set, was stamped below the frame using black ink. I finished off by adding some clear WOS to the bird and toadstools.

VIDEO | I Love You

Hello there, I am back today with another card and video for Create A Smile. For my card today I am using squirrel from the Friends In The Woods stamp set. I thought it would be cute for him to hold the little heart from the Underwater Love set.

I started off by stamping the squirrel on to a panel of white cardstock, he was then masked off (by stamping him on masking paper, cutting him out and placing it over the image). I also made a little mask for a hillside. I have really enjoyed the look of ink blended backgrounds with Copic coloured images. Laura Bassen has been doing this recently and that is what I was inspired by for this card. I added a little Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the sky and then Mowed Lawn for the hillside. I took a 0.3 Copic Multiliner to draw on the hill.

The squirrel was then coloured using Copic Markers. I took the little heart from the Underwater Love set and stamped this so that the squirrel was holding it, using Memento Lady Bug ink. The sentiment, from the Friends In The Woods set, was stamped beside the squirrel and I finished off by adding a little Pico Embellisher to the heart for a little shine. The panel was adhered to a white card base with foam sheet.

You Are Amazing

Hello there and good afternoon to you (depending on where you are in the world and what time you are reading this!). I have a card to share with you today that was made for the amazing Kathy Racoosin. I am sure you already know Kathy but if you do not, firstly, she is an amazingly kind and encouraging person. Secondly, she is amazing colourist and the founder of The Daily Marker 30 Day challenges. She recently received some feedback on her YT channel that was a little discouraging so myself and a few others over on IG (kindly organised by the amazing Georgia), wanted to express how much we appreciate what she does, using #thumbsupkathy.

I started off by cutting a panel of white cardstock with a SSS Stitched Square die. I then stamped the line stamp from the Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine as grass or a hillside. The flower, from the Paper Smooches Friendly Flowers set was stamped next. I finished up by stamping the sentiment, from the Paper Smooches Chit Chat set beside.

The panel was coloured using Copic Markers. I wanted to add a bit of dimension so I stamped another of the flower head, coloured this, cut it out and popped this on top with foam tape. The flower then had a liberal coating of clear Wink of Stella followed by a little Pico Embellisher for the heart. This panel was then adhered to a white square card base with foam tape.

Embellishment Giveaway

Hello there, I have been purging my craft room (again!) and have come across some embellishments that I am not sure I will use. I would love someone to give them a new home and show them some love.

The embellishments consist of buttons, ribbon, brads, dew drops, Prima flower centres, Prima resin flowers, charms, flat back pearls, chipboard/wood veneer and metal charms.

To enter, you need to have a UK address to send them to (apologies for international readers but it would cost too much in postage costs, I hope you understand). Just add your name to the InLinkz below (you do NOT need to have a blog to enter, just add your name), by Friday 10th July 2015 at 15.00hrs BST.

I will pick two winners by random and they will be announced on my blog this weekend. Good luck!

Hello there, as promised I am back with my release video for the Clearly Besotted July 2015 release.

All the new products will be available to purchase this evening, from 10pm BST. You can buy them from the Clearly Besotted shop, Simon Says Stamp and Ellen Hutson.

Here is a look at the sets in full and a recap of the cards I made using them:

So what do you think of the release this month? I have to say, I love it! I very enjoyed making my sample cards this month (as always!) and I think the sets will be popular. Any in particular that stand out to you? I think the Miniature Floral Collection and Best Birthday will be VERY popular! :) For a chance to win a £30 gift card to the Clearly Besotted shop, please pop over and see Stephanie.  Thank you so much for joining me the last few days, I really do appreciate it. Have a great day and happy shopping!

CB Teasers | Miniature Floral Collection

Hello there, today is  Clearly Besotted release day! yay! I have more on that later but first, I wanted to share my final teaser card with you. It uses the new Miniature Floral Collection stamp set. If you love flowers, you are going to LOVE this set! You know all the amazing floral images Clearly Besotted have released before? well now you can get them in mini size!

For my card, I started off by taking a white A2 card base and stamping the lily image on it using Memento London Fog ink. The sentiment was stamped beside it using black ink. I then coloured the image using Copic Markers, adding a little sparkle with a Sakura Stardust pen.

I then took a piece of white cardstock and ran this through my Cuttlebug using a SSS Stitched Circle die. This made a window in the panel so I could pop it on top of the card and image with foam tape. I love using the SSS Stitched dies for the added stitching on the negative side.
