Ice Cream & Pickles - DTDF

Here is my card for Dies to Die for this week. I have used the fab Saturated Canary 'Ice Cream & Pickles' image to make a card for my cousin, who has just announced she is expecting her first baby. {Sorry about the photos - I had to take them with the lights on so they have a slight yellow tinge to them}. This card has been inspired by one made by Lori Boyd.

Thank You Flowers

After feeling a bit deflated following using embossing powders last week I thought I would try again today. I have used white embossing powder this time for the outline of the Clearly Besotted Stamps image and coloured on the kraft with Copic markers. This card is winging it's way to a truly lovely, kind person.

Anniversary Wishes

Here is a card I made for my brother and SIL's Wedding Anniversary in September but I forgot to blog it. I used the Retrosketches #20 sketch for the layout.

You Win Some, You Lose Some

You may wonder what the title of this post means, well here are some cards that I don't like that I have made. I do not know why I don't like them, there is just something about them that I am not happy with. They are both using Clearly Besotted Stamps which I love but I just don't like the design on the card .... I think? ... I don't know!! Anyway i thought I would share them anyway.

 

The first card uses the Twinkle Toes set along with the sentiment. I have stamped the ballerina using Versamark and then used SU! Heat & Stick with Dazzle Diamonds - first time I have used this technique. The sparkle looks much better in real life!

SUPPLIES USED:

The second card uses Versamark to stamp the flower image from the Blooming Marvellous set and then I have gone over with clear embossing powder. The sentiment from the Butterfly Wishes set has been stamped on vellum and wrapped around the panel.

Cuddly Owlies - DTDF

For my card this week over at the Dies to Die for blog I have been inspired by THIS gorgeous card by Jen Nelson. As soon as I saw the owls on kraft I knew I had to have a go, thank you for the inspiration Jen. I have used Koh-I-Noor pencils to colour the owls which I haven't used in along while but really enjoyed it.

Happy Halloween!

Here is the Halloween card I have made for my mum this year. I have used the CC Designs Boo's Fun stamp set again but used a diffrent ghost this time. The papers are from the Doodlebug Designs Haunted Manor collection - LOVE IT! Sadly the sentiment plus the tag die have been discontinued.

Nephew Jake's 2nd Birthday

Here is the card I made for my nephew for this second birthday. I used the PTI Little Hot Rod stamp set along with the dies, as he likes trains. I added the little two in the train smoke cloud using the MFT Banner Alphabet set.

So since Jake's birthday falls near Halloween, my brother and SIL decided to make his birthday party Halloween themed and we all had to dress up. I dressed as Morticia Addams from the Addams Family, so I thought I would leave you with a photo ...

CAS Butterflies

Quick CAS card from me today using the Clearly Besotted Stamps Butterfly Wishes set (yes, again!) combined with the sentiment from the Happy Everything set. I have scored two lines and the top and bottom of the butterflies using my MS Score Board - difficult to see in the photo.
