Concord & 9th | Chandelier Card Front

Hello there, I am back with my fifth card guest designing with Concord & 9th. If you missed them, you can see my other cards here. Today I am focussing on the Chandelier Card Front Die. This wonderful die pierces a pattern into a card front. Although this die is part of the holiday release, I don't think it particularly screams holiday/Christmas to me, so I think can be used all year round. For my card today though, I paired it with the Peaceful Dove dies.

I started off my card by die cutting the Concord & 9th Chandelier Card Front Die from a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of Concord & 9th Aster Cardstock. I then added ink blending to it using Concord & 9th Aster, Fig and Eggplant Inks, using blending brushes, focussing the darker shades around the edges and keeping it lighter in the centre. 

The panel was then adhered to a US A2 sized white card base using tape runner adhesive. I die cut the dove from the Concord & 9th Peaceful Dove Die Set from Concord & 9th Cardstock in White, Black (eye and beak) and Ballet Slipper (for the cheek). It was assembled and adhered together using liquid glue. It was adhered to the card using thin foam tape. 

I die cut the sprig from Concord & 9th Juniper and Tidepool cardstock, and the berries from White cardstock. I adhered the pieces together first and then onto the card. I stamped a sentiment from the Concord & 9th Holiday Trimmings Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. 

It was die cut out using the banner die from the Holiday Trimming Die Set but I did partial die cutting on either side to make the banner smaller in length. It was also adhered to the card using thin foam tape. To finish, I embellished with Concord & 9th Dew Drops.

That dove is so pretty and really pops against the darker background. I'll definitely be using that Chandelier Card Front again on non-holiday/Christmas cards!
