Hello there, today I have a tag to share using the new Altenew Lush Terra Watercolor Compact, which is a collaboration with The Mint Gardener. These compacts feature six watercolour paints in pans. They come in a beautiful metal palette and there is space for mixing in the lid. These paints are semi-transparent. The greens/blues in this set are similar to gouache in consistency.

disclosure.
I started off my tag buy die cutting the petals and leaves from the Altenew Darling Dahlia Layering Die Set from Altenew Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper. I mixed the Altenew Watercolor Compact - Lush Terra paints with water and using Altenew Artists' Watercolor Foundation Brushes, applied the colour to the die-cuts before setting them aside to dry. I used Violet Nightshade for the petals, and Sea Glass & Emerald Cedar for the leaves.
Once dry, the flowers were assembled using liquid glue. Instead of using the die-cut flower centres, I used an Altenew Ivory Pearl Dot instead.
I die cut an Altenew Nesting Arches Die from white cardstock and cut a hole in the top using the Altenew Labels & Tags 1 Die Set to create a tag. The flowers and leaves were adhered on top using liquid glue. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Altenew Build-A-Garden: Posh Petals, cut it into a strip and adhered it to the tag using Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. To finish, I added twine through the top of the tag and tied in a bow, followed by embellishing with more Altenew Ivory Pearl Dots.

Because these watercolours are semi-transparent, I was able to build up the colour on the die-cuts quite easily. I used Lush Terra compact today which features musted tones, but there are other compacts available with different colour palettes too. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful day!
