Simon Says Stamp | Christmas Blessings

Hello there, today I have a card to share using the new And Everything Nice release from Simon Says Stamp, which is out today. They kindly sent me the A Child is Born die to use and it is a beautiful nativity scene, perfect for the die-cut inlay technique.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my card by die cutting the Simon Says Stamp A Child is Born Die three times from Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock with Altenew Double Sided Adhesive Sheet on the back. I popped out all the inside pieces (to leave just the outline) and adhered the first one onto a scrap piece of black cardstock. I then cut around the edge using scissors. The other outline layers were adhered on top.

I die cut the die again from Spellbinders Cosmic Sky ColorWheel Cardstock for the sky, Simon Says Stamp Lemon Chiffon Cardstock for the star, Spellbinders Chiffon ColorWheel Cardstock for the faces, and Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Cardstock for clothing. The pieces were adhered into the image with Bearly Art Glue.

The image was then adhered to a US A2 sized card base made from Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas Stamp Set onto more black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip using the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Labels Dies and adhered to the card to finish.

I love making cards with black card bases but they are awful to photograph! In real-life the cards look clean, as soon as I take a photo, they look like they are covered in white specks! Sorry about that! I will have more cards to share using the new release next week. Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful day!
