Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today to celebrate the release of the Petal Palette. This is a beautiful ceramic palette in the shape of a petal, hence the name! It features 12 wells with a gold-trimmed finish. Whilst you can use the palette for different mediums, I decided to create a watercolour card with it today.

disclosure.
I started off my card by stamping the peony image from Altenew Build-A-Garden: Lovely Rose Peony onto Altenew Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper using Altenew Embossing Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set.
I then squeezed a little of my Altenew Artists' Watercolor Tube paints onto the Altenew Petal Palette. The wells themselves are a little on the small side but there is tons of room on the palette for mixing, which I love! I painted the image using Quinacridone Magenta, Quinacridone Violet & French Ultramarine for the petals, I used Yellow Lemon & Gold Ochre for the flower centres, and Phthalo Green & Phthalo Blue for the leaves.
The image was fussy cut out with scissors (up to the embossed line) and then adhered to a US A2 sized card base made from Altenew Crafty Necessities: Jet Black Cardstock with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. The excess was cut off the side using scissors. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Altenew Soft Blossoms Stamp Set, cut it into a strip and adhered it to the card with more foam tape. To finish, I embellished with Altenew Ivory Pearl Dots.
PETAL PALETTE
The palette is around 9 inches tall by 8 inches at it's widest. So lots of room to mix paints or any other mediums like pastes etc. You could also use it for embellishments. So many options! Oh and I have to say, because it is ceramic, it cleans beautifully!
