Hello there and welcome to day two of the Clearly Besotted March 2023 Teasers. Release day is 1st March 2023. We are sharing teasers with you until then using the new sets. Today I am using the super cute Sundae Funday set. This set includes lots of cute critters with their yummy sundaes, as well as some fun sentiments.

disclosure.
I took a 3.5" x 4.75" panel of white cardstock and masked off the bottom part. Above it, I blended
Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry Distress Ink using an ink blending brush. The masking tape was removed and the sentiment from the set stamped below using black ink, before adhering to a US A2 sized white card base with thin foam tape.
The image was then adhered on top with more thin foam tape. I added
white gel pen highlights to the image and then I added sparkles and dots to the background. I also added
black glaze pen to the dog's eyes.

Although I am not a fan of strawberry ice cream (I am more of a mint choc chip kind of girl!), that sundae does look yummy! For more inspiration using the new release, please head over to the

Michelle, This may not be the forum for this question but I am going to ask you anyway. Answer if it is, if not tell me where to ask, please! Is there a difference when blending with a brush or foam blending tool? I love your card and the simplicity of it. All the white space makes the sentiment and cute little critters pop!
ReplyDeleteHi Jayne, thank you so much for stopping by and for your kind comment. Yes, there is a difference between using a blending brush vs. a blending foam tool but it does come down to personal preference. I feel that I can control the ink slightly better with a brush and I can get lighter coverage, so that it fades to white. If I wanted more of a saturation of colour, like covering a whole panel, I often use a foam blending tool. I hope that helps!
DeleteThis might be my favourite of your cards from this release. I adore that pink background with the white pen details and I just love the sundae and dog grouping! That ice cream won't last long with the dog around. Or if I was around! xx
