Simon Says Stamp | Peace On Earth

Hello there, today I have two tags to share with you using the Simon Says Stamp Peace On Earth Stamp Set that is released today as part of their Holiday Sparkle release. This features doves, stars and angels, plus lots of sentiments. For my tags, I focused on the doves.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my tags by stamping the doves from the Simon Says Stamp Peace On Earth Stamp Set on to vellum, using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. I then fussy cut the images out using scissors. I took the Hero Arts Tag Infinity Dies and die cut them from Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock

For the blue tag, I fist sprayed on a layer of Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stains. I used Chipped Sapphire, Villainous Potion and Mermaid Lagoon. I sprayed on some water and let it sit to dry. Once dry, I blended Tim Holtz Distress Inks on top using Villainous Potion, Chipped Sapphire, Prize Ribbon and Mermaid Lagoon

I splattered more water on and then spritzed with Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz, before setting aside to dry again. For the red tag, I blended on Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries and Aged Mahogany. I then splattered on water and Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz before setting aside to dry also.

Once both tags were dry, I stamped snowflakes from the Simon Says Stamp Lots of Snowflakes Stamp Set on top using the same Distress Inks. They aren't hugely visible, you can see them more on the blue tag than the red, but they do add an extra touch to the tags. For the red tag, I stamped the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Peace On Earth Stamp Set at the bottom and heat embossed.

I then adhered another tag to the back, cut from white cardstock. The doves were adhered to the front using small dabs of Bearly Art Glue. I heat embossed a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas Set on to black cardstock, cut into a strip and adhered it to the blue tag with thin foam tape. To finish off, I added Little Things from Lucy's Cards Bubbles and then silver thread through the top.

Since I love tags, I decided to create them today, but I hope you will check out the other designers makes to see what they have been up to too! I will be back later with another post but in the meantime, I hope you have a great day!
