Clearly Besotted Teasers | Hippo Bird Day

Hello there and happy Clearly Besotted Release Day! The sets release tonight at 8pm GMT but I have one last teaser to share with you this morning before my release preview a little later. Today, I am using the new Hippo Bird Day set. As the name suggests, it features super cute hippos and their bird friends.

I started off my card by taking the Clearly Besotted Around About Stencil and placing it on to a panel of white cardstock, securing in place with Post-It Tape. Using Ink Blending Brushes, I then blended the sky portion first with Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink. The stencil was removed and the building piece placed on top, which was blended with Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink. 

The stencil was removed again and placed back on top so that I could add a little Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn Distress Ink for the grass. I love that you can mix and match different elements on the stencil to create your own scenes! I then stamped the sentiment, from the Clearly Besotted Hippo Bird Day Stamp Set below using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. 

I took one of the images from the Hippo Bird Day set and stamped it on to more white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. It was coloured using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area) and then fussy cut out with scissors. The panel was adhered to an A2 white card base with thin foam tape and then the image added on top. To finish off, I added black glaze pen to the their eyes and Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the balloon.
