Spellbinders | Holiday Floral Background

Hello there, today I have a card to share with you using the Spellbinders Holiday Florals Background from the Christmas Traditions Collection. The set comes with sentiments too, but I used a different one on my card today.

I started off by taking a panel of Spellbinders Raindrop Cardstock and using blending brushes, blended on Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. I focused most of the ink blending towards the bottom right hand corner. I then added a little Black Soot to darken it slightly. 

I placed Spellbinders Gold Glimmer Foil and the Spellbinders Holiday Florals Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate on top and foiled it using the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. I then took the sentiment from the Spellbinders Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and foiled that on to the panel too.

Once the plate was removed, I cut the panel in to strips. I kept the sizes of them random. I took a 4.25 X 5.25" card base and adhered the bigger of the strips with foam tape and the smaller ones flat with glue for some added interest.
