Spellbinders | Holiday Floral Background

Hello there, today I have a card to share with you using the Spellbinders Holiday Florals Background from the Christmas Traditions Collection. The set comes with sentiments too, but I used a different one on my card today.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off by taking a panel of Spellbinders Raindrop Cardstock and using blending brushes, blended on Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. I focused most of the ink blending towards the bottom right hand corner. I then added a little Black Soot to darken it slightly.

Once the plate was removed, I cut the panel in to strips. I kept the sizes of them random. I took a 4.25 X 5.25" card base and adhered the bigger of the strips with foam tape and the smaller ones flat with glue for some added interest.

Sadly, the photos don't do that beautiful foil justice but it is so pretty in real-life! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!

  1. this is beautiful - the blending is stunning - your hot foiling is always so good - did you do a video about this ?

  2. Beautiful I love the gold on blue it makes a nice to change to see that instead of silver. The foiling looks so pretty and I love the added interested of the die cut strips. Gorgeous card Michelle! xx
