Clearly Besotted Teasers | Meowy Christmouse

Hello there and happy Clearly Besotted release day! I have two more teasers to share with you before the release later today. I will also be back soon with my release video taking a look at all of the sets being released. For my teasers today, I am using the Merry Mix & Match sets. There are three of these in the release - cats, dogs and mice. There are three separate layers of a Christmas tree in each set. You can mix and match them so that you have different critters in each of the layers of the tree, or use them separately as one whole tree per critter - so much fun!

For my card, I started off by taking a panel of white cardstock and stamping each of the layers of the Christmas tree from the Clearly Besotted Merry Mix & Match Squeak Stamp Set. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The layers are very easy to line up, which is very helpful! The tree and mice were coloured using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area).

I chose to colour the parts of the tree where you line them up as tinsel on the tree. I wasn't sure if this was the right thing to do but I think you can probably colour them as tinsel or as tree. I did also add some blue sparkle pen to the tinsel but sadly, it is difficult to see in the photos. Once coloured, I fussy cut the image out using scissors.

I took a panel of white cardstock and blended Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch towards the top, fading to white at the bottom. I took it to my Splat Box and spritzed on Tim Holtz Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain, as well as Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz. It was set aside to dry and once dry, adhered to the front of an A2 white card base with tape runner adhesive.

The mouse tree was adhered on top with thin foam tape. I took the sentiment from the set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with more thin foam tape. To finish off, I added white gel pen highlights to the images, black glaze pen to the mice's eyes and a few Lucy's Iridescent Jewels

I thought I would create a little tag using two of the standalone images from the Clearly Besotted Merry Mix & Match Meow Stamp Set. They were stamped on to white cardstock, coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut out. I also stamped, coloured and cut out a tree from the Clearly Besotted Winter Plushies Stamp Set.

I took the Clearly Besotted Tag Along Die Collection and die cut one of the tags three times from white cardstock - one for the front, one for the back and one for the snow slope. For the front tag, I blended on Distress Oxide inks for the sky. I used Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves. I spritzed this with the white and shimmer sprays that I used on the card and set it aside to dry.

Once dry, I stamped the sentiment on top and heat embossed in white. The tag was adhered to the white one (back to back) and then the third tag was cut down using the MFT Stitched Slimline Snowdrifts Die-namics. It was adhered to the front of the tag and the tree added with tape runner on top, followed by the kitties with foam tape. I added twine through the top of the tag and then finished off with Tonic White Blizzard Nuvo Drops on the fish and hat.
