Altenew | Build A Flower Laelia Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, today we are celebrating the release of the new Altenew Build-A-Flower Laelia Layering Stamp & Die Set. This is such a beautiful flower and as with all Build A Flower sets, the set has an outline as well as layers that you can build up to create the colours. Or you can use the outline on its own and add colour with different mediums (or not add colour at all!). We are celebrating the release with a fun blog hop, more information on that below.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my card by stamping the outline from the Altenew Build-A-Flower Laelia Stamp & Die Set on to white cardstock with black Ink. I then stamped the layers using Altenew Cherry Blossom Crisp Dye Inks for the flower head and Altenew Green Fields Crisp Dye Inks for the leaves. I also added a little yellow to the flower from the Altenew Fall Harvest Crisp Dye Inks

I die cut the flower out using the coordinating die and set it aside. I took a panel of white cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine using the Altenew Deck Planks 3D Embossing Folder. The panel was adhered to a 4" x 5.5" white card base with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I then added the flower on top with more foam tape.

I took the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Altenew Embossing Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Altenew Essential Black & White Enamel Dots

BLOG HOP:

As mentioned, this blog post is part of a fun, inspiration filled blog hop with prizes (see below!). For the hop, you should have arrived here from the wonderful Dana Joy. Next on the hop is the fabulous Sandhya Iyer. If you get lost along the way, or want to start the hop from the beginning, please head over to the Altenew Blog.

GIVEAWAY:

$200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 7th October 2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on  9th October 2021.

As you can see, I have the leaf of the flower hanging off the side of the card, I do really like that look, so I made sure to cut the card base narrower, so that it could still fit in to a standard sized envelope. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoy the hop and have a wonderful rest of the day!
