Altenew | Craft Your Life Project Kit: Seasonal Blooms Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew to celebrate the release of the new Craft Your Life: Seasonal Blooms Project Kit. This is a new product packed monthly kit that you can purchase separately or as part of a monthly subscription. More on the kit below, as well as blog hop information.

My first project is a 5" x 7" card. I rarely make larger cards (except for personalised family ones) but after colouring the florals, I couldn't bare to cut it down! I started off by stamping the larger floral image from the Seasonal Blooms Stamp Set that comes in the Altenew Craft Your Life: Seasonal Blooms Project Kit on to white cardstock using black ink.

I used the Seasonal Blooms Simple Coloring Stencil in the kit to colour the images in with ink blending. This is a fast and beautiful way to colour all of the images but I do think they would look lovely coloured traditionally too! I used Altenew Mini Ink Blending Tools and lots of different Altenew Crisp Dye Inks (the sets used are linked below). I then die cut the images out using the Seasonal Blooms Die Set (also in the kit).

I took a white 5" x 7" card base and using an Altenew Ink Blending Tool, I blended Altenew Glacier Caves Crisp Dye Ink towards the bottom of the card. The image piece was then adhered on top with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I took the thanks die from the die set and cut the outline three times from white cardstock and the word itself from pink cardstock. I added Altenew Double-Sided Adhesive Sheet to the back (before running through my die cutting machine) and then adhered on to the top of the card. To finish off, I added a few Lucy's Bubbles.

If you know me at all, you will know that I couldn't resist creating a little matching tag! I stamped the image again with black ink and then die cut using one of the Altenew Terrific Tag Dies. I coloured the images using the same ink blending that I did on the card, but this time kept the tag flat, rather than die cutting the images.

I took the sentiment from the Seasonal Blooms Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Versmark Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the tag with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Bubbles around the sentiment and twine through the top of the tag.

My next last project for today uses the Blooming Through the Seasons 3D Embossing Folder that also comes in the kit. I ran the folder and a piece of light blue cardstock through my die cutting machine. Using an Altenew Ink Blending Tool, I blended Altenew Glacier Caves Crisp Dye Ink towards the bottom of the panel.

Using a flat blending tool, I then blended on Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink on to the raised areas to highlight the flowers. The panel was added to a 5.5" x 5.5" white card base with tape runner. I die cut the hello outline from the Seasonal Blooms Die Set three times from white cardstock and the word from blue cardstock. They were layered up on top of another and then added to the card. To finish off, I added a few Bubbles.
