Spellbinders | Watercolor Florals

Hello there, today I have a card to share with you using the wonderful new Watercolor Florals Collection by Sushma Hegde for Spellbinders. As the name suggests, these images are perfect for watercolouring but you can also use them in lots of different ways. I decided to watercolour mine today, as I thought the style of the images worked well with a loose watercolour.

I started off by stamping the flowers from the Spellbinders Beauty In Bloom Stamp Set on to Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock with FSJ Clear Pigment InkI applied Altenew Rose Gold Embossing Powder and heat set. They were then loosely watercoloured using Arteza Real Brush Pens, a paint brush and water and fussy cut out with scissors.

I took a Hero Arts Nautical A2 card base and scored horizontal lines in to the front panel with a score board and bone folder. The images were then adhered on top with tape runner and foam tape. I took the sentiment from Yana's Tiny Sentiments Glimmer Foil Plate & Die Set and foiled it on to more Nautical Cardstock with Spellbinders Champagne Glimmer Hot Foil Roll, die cut it out and adhered it on top with foam tape. To finish off, I added Lucy's Iridescent Jewels.

  2. So pretty - love your gorgeous watercolouring and of course the foiling is such a beautiful way to create a sentiment. I love the added interest of your scored lines too. Beautiful card! xx
