Altenew | Build-A-Flower Semi-Double Chrysanthemum Release Blog Hop

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today to celebrate the release of the new Build-A-Flower Semi-Double Chrysanthemum Layering Stamp & Die Set. This is a beautiful layering stamp set. You can buy the set separately, or as a bundle with inks too. We are celebrating the release with a fun, inspiration filled blog hop with prizes. Please see below for more details on the hop.

I started off my card by stamping the flower heads and leaves outlines from the Altenew Build-A-Flower Semi-Double Chrysanthemum Stamp & Die Set using black ink. I then stamped one of the flowers using the Altenew Cherry Blossom Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cube Set and the other with the Altenew Fall Harvest Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cube Set. The leaves were stamped using the Altenew Green Fields Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cube Set

The images were cut out using the coordinating dies and set aside while I worked on my background. I took an A2 white card base and masked off the sides of the front panel. Using Altenew Ink Blending Tool, I blended on the lightest shades of the pink and yellow inks from the sets I used for the stamping. The leaves were adhered on top with liquid glue and the flowers added on top with foam tape.

I took the thanks sentiment from the Altenew Simple Greetings Die Set and cut it three times from black cardstock. They were adhered one on top of another and then added to the card. To finish off, I added a few Iridescent Jewels.

  39. The way you created your background makes the card look multi-layered. Only after reading your text, did I realize you had not put a panel on top of white card stock. Very cool.
