VIDEO | Mica Powder With Stencils + Giveaway

Hello there, today I have a card and video to share with you using Arteza Mica Powder with a stencil. Arteza kindly sent me their Mica Powder Set of 60 Set (they also have a set of 35) to use. These powders are so pretty! They do not contain any binders (like some craft mica powder) so you do need to apply them in a way that will adhere/bind them to the cardstock and not rub off. I share more on this in the video below.

I started off my card by placing the Simon Says Stamp Bouquet Of Roses Stencil on to the front of an A2 black card base, holding it in place with memo tape. Using an ink blending tool applicator, I then applied Tsukineko Essential Glue Pad through the openings of the stencil. The stencil was removed and then the Arteza Mica Powder applied.

Using a fluffy brush, I picked up Sage Glow first and dabbed it on to the stencilled glue over the leaf areas. I then combined Bubblegum Glow and Periwinkle Glow for the roses. Once applied, I left it to dry for 30 minutes (you will see in the video that I left it a shorter amount of time but 30 minutes was needed) and wiped off the excess mica powder with a Swiffer Cloth.

I stamped the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Says It All Stamp Set on to the same black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied WOW Bright White Superfine Opaque Embossing Powder and heat set. It was die cut in to a strip using the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Labels Dies and added to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Lucy's Pink Moonshine Sequins with Multi Medium Matte Glue.
