Spellbinders | Small Die of the Month Club Kit Sitting Pretty

Hello there, today I have a card and tag to share with you using the Spellbinders August 2020 Small Die of the Month Club Kit. This month is called Sitting Pretty and includes elements that can make mandala images or can be used as decorative elements for alphabets.

There are three different shapes of the teardrop elements in the kit. For my card I used one of them and die cut it nine times from white cardstock. I then blended on Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet Distress Inks. They were added to a black A2 card base with craft glue.

I then took the sentiment from the Spellbinders Everyday Sentiments II Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set and foiled it on to black cardstock using Spellbinders Moondust Glimmer Hot Foil Roll. It was cut in to strips and added to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added Lucy's Peacock Feather Jewels.

For the tag, I first cut the largest of the FSJ Tag Steel Rule Set from black cardstock. I then cut another of the elements from the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Kit from white cardstock. This time, I blended on Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks. The elements were added to the tag with craft glue.

I then cut the alphabet dies from the set from white cardstock and blended on more Mermaid Lagoon ink. The letters were added to the bottom of the tag to spell out 'thanks'. I finished off by adding twine through the top of the tag and Lucy's Iridescent Jewels to the shapes.

  1. These are so unique and so pretty! I love the different colours and shapes against the black - very striking and very elegant.

  2. These are beautiful! I especially love the first one..... probably because purple is my color. I also like the way it trails down the side.
